After wandering around a car show all afternoon, we stopped here for a quick dinner. I had the salmon platter while my husband had the crab cake platter. The food was pretty good despite the fact that my salmon was overcooked as were the veggies for both of us. That said, the service was great. Our server was very knowledgable... More

We had to run an errand to Mechanicsburg and found ourselves hungry after the drive. Right next door to where we were was Scalles, so we said, let's try it. We found it to be a little gem full of comfort food. You won't find fancy tables, linen napkins, or servers dressed in tuxes. You will find a broad menu,... More

Friend of mine loves this place and I pass it all the time, so finally stopped for lunch. What a mistake. I ordered a cheesesteak sub - the roll was barely bigger than a hot dog roll and had that funky look that old bread gets when it's been frozen too long; meat was even worse - there are frozen... Great soups, tasty Sandwiches and great salads. Chicken corn soup is a restaurant staple in this area and the soup here is top notch. The Reuben is excellent and they do have a great salad. There is a large beer selection that provides something for every taste. The service is friendly and efficient, and they don't hover, so if you... More

I go by this place on several occasions and always thought it looked like a neat place. The building is a nice historical charmed building. The food is a different story. Mediocre at best. Can say the same about the service attitudes. Also, when you have a board in the front lobby with approximately 15 specials on it, please put... More

The service is always very good, even for groups large as ours tends to be at times. And the servers very friendly & accommodating. The portobello sandwich is great, give it a try!

Food is always fresh and delicious. Portions are large and you won't leave hungry. The variety of soup is really great and so far, I love all of them.

I have been here a few times but usually avoid due to all the fried stuff. It is often busy so others seem to enjoy.

We have never had a bad meal here - good food and GREAT service. The place can get busy and the servers are unbelievable and food seems to be out in minutes. Old building - good atmosphere - very casual. We love it here
