My family has been going to pine barn to eat for years, and every time we went, we were elated. Food tastes good, and service is always fast and friendly.

This is a nice Inn in a small Pennsylvania town of Danville. It sits right in front of the Geisinger medical facility. Along with food and spirits, it is a hotel. Rooms are nice for special occasions or traveling. Restaurant is cheery and pleasant for any type of meal and nice enough for special occasion celebrations. Food is a little... More
The Pine Barn Inn is the best place for breakfast anywhere around Danville, hands down. Wide selection with fresh ingredients like shredded corned beef hash instead of from a can like most places. Pleasant staff and slight upscale atmosphere without being stuffy. I also enjoy the lunch menu with the best salads and fantastic selection.
Let me first say that my husband and I have pretty high standards about our food. We were staying at the Pine Barn Inn and decided to eat in the restaurant despite some mixed reviews here on TA. We at dinner in the tavern, and it was wonderful. I had chicken with a lemon butter sauce that was sublime. My... More
We had a pleasant-enough dinner here; nothing outstanding but not bad at all. The house cocktails all sounded too sweet and cream-filled, but my Maker's Mark Old-Fashioned was fine (and a bargain at about $7). My "Irish Whiskey-Glazed Salmon" could have been glazed with anything, as far as I could tell -- I doubt there was much whiskey in it,... More
The restaurant and bar has a great variety of upscale and healthy menu choices, premium sandwiches and salads, all for really great prices. I like to sit in the bar area which is part of the original barn with a huge stone fireplace. Fresh fish and the daily specials are always interesting.
Nice place to eat with a lot of history. Only had breakfast, average prices and food was good. Nice place to take someone special for dinner or for a celebration.
Table cloths and fresh flowers on the tables. Or you can eat in the attached tavern with a more casual feel that shares the menu with the restaurant. In warm weather there's a nice covered terrace area as well. The menu is varied with sandwiches, burgers, various entrees and of course salads. The Pine Barn has a selection of salads... More
We have visited Knoebel's frequently and always stay in a hotel. I relied on other's reviews and glad I did. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Not far from Knoebel's and the restaurant on site had wonderful breakfast! Be sure to take home a jar of their homemade jam. Front desk personnel could have been more friendly. One woman working... In Central Pennsylvania, it can be hard to find a family restaurant that offers a menu with something broader than pub food or the meat and potatoes staples. Whether you're at the Pine Barn Inn for Breakfast or Dinner, you can find a wider-than-expected range of offerings. It will feel a lot like you're visiting a home town restaurant. It... More
