This is the kind of authentic central PA family-style eatery I'm such a fan of. Low prices, friendly service, and heaping portions of great food!

My daughter did not want to eat fast food for a stop going from Ohio to New Jersey so we spotted a sign for Mom's and decided to check it out. It's clean, food was tasty and service was very good. Mom is now a woman from India (?), her daughter was our server, speaks perfect English and understands what... More

First off we ordered chicken wings paid for a order of 12 and only got 10. We told the waitress and showed her she gladly made the order correct. We bit into the wings and they weren't cooked good still raw inside ! The manager came out and apologized and took the wings off our bill. My step daughter had... More

We came here in our way on a day road trip. Big mistake we thought that we could take some time to eat here and still be on the road at a decent earlier time...wrong!! First there was only one waitress and one cook. We waited long waits for all menus, drinks, to order then a long time to get... More

Wanted to stop and get something to eat on our trip to NY. This place looked like it might be good but no so. I ordered a sandwich that was supposed to be on a Kaiser roll. I was nothing more then a large hamburger bun. Very little meat in it too. Very disappointing choice.

Places near an interstate that serve decent food can be quite difficult to find, especially along I-80 in Pennsylvania. Remember the old chain Dutch Pantry? There are exactly two left, and they aren't what they used to be. Mom's Dutch Kitchen fills the void--homestyle Pennsylvania Dutch cooking that's better than Dutch Pantry ever was. Get things like scrapple, meat loaf,... More

This restaurant was close to my hotel, and they advertised a very local, seasonal special - ham and dandelion greens. Unfortunately, I never made it there for dinner. That was partly because reviews were mixed. I figured that breakfast is hard to mess up, and went on Sunday for breakfast. The egg was perfectly poached, the bacon perfectly crispy but... More

WE got here just before they were ready to close, as we had been stuck in a traffic jam on Route 80 for 2 1/2 hours. They were more than hospitable, did not hurry our selections, and served our meals in very good time. Food was great, service was super, and the homey decor very nice. Can not say enough... More

As we were leaving the hotel we saw this restaurant next door. We are breakfast snobs so my son in law first went in to check out the menu. The place is like a mini-Cracker Barrel, only Mom's Dutch Kitchen has better food! My husband was happy because he could get anything he wanted from the menu; not just breakfast.... More

Overpriced, over, cooked, cold, watered down botulism. Nothing here is home cooked or good. Waited 45 minutes for the worste meal of my life. First time I ever left a meal without leaving a tip. Do yourself a favor and "run Forest run".....avoid this place like the plague!! Better deal and food at any fast food joint!
