Always a must stop and eat here on our way to/from the DC area. This time we had their famous mushroom soup. Delicious ! We also tried their Smash Burger. It was cooked to perfection- juicy and loaded with bacon, cucumber, cheese, onion and a...special sauce. The bun tasted homemade too! Our waitress was wonderful and our food was delivered to the table quickly. Beautiful surrounding views of the Laurel Highlands.More

The food here is amazing. I had one of the best steaks of my life, plus the portion was huge. You get your money’s worth here. They also have some of the best mashed potatoes I’ve tried in a while. Our server was wonderful, I...really enjoyed her service. The only bad thing was that we waited over an hour for our food to come out. It is nice that they provide bread, but an hour wait for food just seems to long.More

We were celebrating our adult daughters birthday as part of a visit to Seven springs resort. A special dinner was in order and we chose to leave the property. We saw Out of the Fire on trip advisor and the reviews/menu looked good. We were...happy with our choice great food fair prices attentive service.More

My husband and I wanted to find a restaurant with outdoor seating in a region fairly close to Pittsburgh where the autumn leaves would be in full display! I found Out of the Fire Cafe in an internet search and the beautiful weather today prompted...us to give it a try! The website encouraged making reservations, and we were able to secure one for 7:30. Well, we were able to enjoy the autumnal colors on our drive up, but my hopes that the light would last long enough to enjoy the view from our table didn’t pan out. No matter! The food and the service were wonderful! My husband had the Wild Citrus Glazed Scallops, Crispy Oyster Mushroom, and a coconut curry soup; I had the Dukkah and Amaranth Crusted Jail Island Salmon, an endive salad special, Goat Cheese and Carmelized Onion Whipped potatoes; and for dessert we shared churros and Dulce de Leche. Every single morsel of food was such a treat for the senses, and our server, Joe, was both very friendly and knowledgeable! I highly recommend Out of the Fire Cafe!More

Located near the PA Turnpike, this was our choice for dinner. We were quickly seated inside and when presented with the menu were impressed by the eclectic offerings. Be advised due to the current situation entrees are limited. What is offered in soups, salads and...appetizers plus the entrees melds combinations of flavors not found in most restaurants. We had the hamburger entree, a huge double patty with bacon, cheese, onion, tomato and housemade sauce. French fries come with it and were disappointingly not burning hot. Our server Joe was attentive and knowledgable. Precautions were in place. Again a great find.More

We stopped in on our way home from a fall foliage drive through the Laurel Highlands. We did not have a reservation, and unfortunately they were totally booked for the evening. They offered their takeout menu and we ordered dinner to take home, including a...nice bottle of wine. The shrimp and grits and Caesar salad were wonderful. We also enjoyed the wine! The staff was great, and we would love to go back. As a side note, a couple with two children came in after we did. When notified that they were totally booked for the night, the father became totally indignant and announced that "We will never come here again!" He will probably leave a bad review on Trip advisor...More

Three of us dined for dinner (socially distanced). Entree Menu was limited to burger, filet, scallops or salmon. I enjoyed the filet. The others in my party had the mushroom soup and appetizers. I have to say I had the best bananas Foster I ever...had. Worth the trip alone! Highly recommendable!More

First off we used to stop here often but the wait staff was repeatedly rude and condescending and the last time we went I literally had to go find our waitress I said would be my last time here- husband talked me into stopping this...past weekend and it was almost like a new place!! The wait staff were all younger and much much friendlier!! I was a little disappointed that the menu was so sparse but I can honestly say we had some of the best food we have ever had and we travel a great deal so that is truly amazing that this great food is right in our back yard! The mussels were divine! Sopped up every last bit of sauce- what followed was hands down the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had!! So tender it literally melted in my mouth!! Our waitress Taylor was delightful and our meal was rounded out by two yummy Bloody Marys/ don’t miss this place if you are in the area!!!More

This is the place we stop at every time we head west from NJ. The folks working here are so nice and friendly. The food is amazing! The pork belly deviled eggs are fantastic. We'll be back on our way home.

Yeah Jeff and team! Mushroom soup rules! Fantastic filets and super Ruebens! We have been ordering during our stay-in-place, which gives us a special occasion from OOTF top chefs, even at home! Now the deviled eggs with pork belly and the pulled pork are my...favorites.. but we also got some potato soup there yesterday for our neighbors and everyone is raving about it! We love your crew - regret the shutdown, and hope you are back up full speed soon! We are avid fans of OOTF!More
