Delicious sea food, beautiful interior, great menu options for all interests, friendly staff and tons of seating! I enjoyed a delicious sea food dinner on the beach and will definitely return.

We ordered two platters that had enough seafood and meats for 5 very hungry adults. Seafood was fresh and well prepared. Service was very good, waiters polite and friendly. Marimba sound started shortly after we arrived and we were in for a cultural treat that consisted in Nicaraguan music and dances that were lively and colorful. It was a very... More

Over priced for local food. Good cultural night, but merely ok otherwise. Like many beach restaurants they tend to be over priced and rely heavily on the view, which is lovely. Slow service.

This place is great! It's right at the beach and has excellent seafood. There was a life band playing a whole range of classics. The service is really good, all waiters are wearing these funny outfits, if you go there pay attention to their socks 😆 So bottom line we had a great evening with excellent food, cocktails and life... We found this place on the first afternoon in town. The happy hour is great. Local beer Tona is great, and the appetizers are the best. We had fried plantain chips, Shrimp burritos, fish tacos, all beer and appetizers were $1.00 US each. We had a whole meal and only spent $12.00. We did not order from the regular menu.... More

This is a wonderful beachfront bar and restaurant! They have a happy hour menu with local beers and rum drinks and snacks for $1 each. And plenty of seating right on the beach. Friendly and attentive staff too. A must if you are in SJDS!

I went to SJDS for the day. I looked on TA for restaurants and noticed someone I know wrote a good review for this restaurant. They have free wifi, it's on the beach, and I was not disappointed with the food or service. I recommend this restaurant to everyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere and good food.

While in Ometempe, I met a guy who had been in San Juan Del Sur and said that El Timon had the best happy hour. Of course, I love happy hour so had to check it out. Well he was soooo right!! I sat on the beach, watched the sunset, had 4 appetizers and 2 beers for a grand total... More
