Vibrant atmosphere, amazing food and incredible service . It was an impromptu visit after a long day of meetings. Looked great from the outside (although parking is tricky, with a small car park) and we didn't know what to expect.... Left VERY content & planning to re-visit!!

The waiters were very welcoming and helpful. Menu varied and interesting, recommend garlic prawn starter however all of the menu met a high standard. Unfortunately the main courses were warm to cold which was a shame as they were good.

Parking can be a little tight best to park near the entrance as getting out can require hunting. The building is split into three separate places which has its good points and bad. It does have open log fires which will mean a return in the winter. Outside over the road river side seating, which is another great feature of... More

The red lion provides a good drinking and dining in a great location, at the Shepperton bend of the Thames. Perfect for drinks and dinner on a summer afternoon. Not bad for Winter warmer's either. The new river terrace is a great addition. An exceptionally well-run local pub, with great service and a high quality kitchen. The dining room is... More

Came here with the family after a hard day's gardening and decorating, to relax with a drink in the sunshine and enjoy the Thames riverside views. As usual, the staff were friendly and efficient despite being very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The ambience inside the pub is good and from a recent past experience, the food is high quality.... After reading all the glowing reviews I realise that my husband and I made a mistake ordering the roast dinner. We had not booked a table but were really pleased that one was found for us. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. Drinks came quickly and so did our menu choices. I had ordered the Chicken... More

We were looking for pubs and came upon RL for lunch. The staff were friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make our visit memorable. So memorable that we came back for dinner the next night!! The first time I've had a Scotch egg and was blown away, delicious. The tarter sauce on the fish was very... More

This was the building occupied by the first known licensee, Robert Reed, between 1722 and 1730.
