I often visit the Kings Head in Teddington as it is one of my favourite venues. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. The outside patio area [in good weather!] is very nice.

We were late booking for supper on Saturday - the good thing was the very helpful manager - Polly and one of the staff Ed who went right out of their way to accommodate our party of 5. That was a great start. Sadly things...More

We went for a birthday lunch. Sat outside in the patio area. Attentive staff, interesting menu, well-prepared dishes and an accomplished wine list. Would have been 5 stars, but the reserved table for 6 was formed from two tables for 4 pushed together, with a...More

The evening was an excellent experience from the moment we walked in. The food was very good, with the grandchildren (5 & 7) eating all their dinner, which is unusual for them to do. And the staff surprised us all with a candle in my...More

Good afternoon, We have a small car park that gets quite busy but most of the surrounding roads are free. Cambridge road and Udney Park road are the closest. We look forward to seeing you next week. Kind Regards, Polly

Description
This is very much a Victorian purpose built pub, but its roots are somewhat older. The original Teddington King's Head dates back to 1689, the time of William III. Maybe it's the history of the building that gives the pub its appeal or it could be Polly and her team who are undeniably charming, attentive and professional that make you want to come back time and time again. Our regulars love us for the informality and cosiness of the King's, we have a large pewter bar, inviting snugs, three separate rooms, open fireplaces and a wonderful walled patio at the back (with our own fruiting grape vine). Our open kitchen shows we are as serious about our food as we are about our ales and our wines - the menu features French brasserie dishes with an English pub twist with everything cooked fresh on the premises.
