We have been visiting Crantock for over 30 years and always made a beeline for The Albion. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and polite and the food was always delicious. The benches placed at the front of the pub were(and still are) a sun trap and as far as we were concerned it was the best place in Cornwall.... More

Had great food here and lovely service from the young ladies serving us which was a great contrast to the owner who was a red faced South African gent with a very abrupt manner, when we got back to our room later on we were in hysterics reading some of the reviews posted on the websites about him. Glad we... More

Its really sad that you are the kind of people who like to poke fun at others, i hope you felt satisfied at your good Laugh, you would trawled for quite along time through tripadvisor to find these comments. Maybe you need skills in diplomacy, i am sure that you would not like to be humiliated on a public website... More

Went with friends on a typical cold winter evening. Lovely old fashioned , unspoiled and very rustic pub. Excellent meals served by a really charming young lady. I had the duck and was not disappointed, the meat just fell off the bone, hubby had beef bourguignon - delicious. Good pint of real ale and all reasonably priced. Can't even imagine... More

After having a wind swept walk on Crantock beach, it was time for lunch. Found this pub by accident on the way out of the village. Lovely traditional pub, welcomed by the member of staff in the bar. We sat down and ordered drinks from the bar. Nice well kept pint of Tribute and 1/2 a fosters. Fish and chips... More

Lovely location, lovely pub but its lacking in customers and ambiance. Valentines night and the place was empty bar one poor couple sat in a dull, miserable back end of the restaurant. Not even any music. Called for a drink but would not choose to eat from the menu as didn't find the choice that great. This place would be... More

Stopped in for Sunday lunch with the family. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was amazing. Good selection of vegetables. Really flavoursome. Desserts were delicious. Would highly recommend.

Virtually everything you cuold wish for is here if you like the old fashioned approach. On both occasions I visited the place was virtually deserted. perhaps something to do with the pre-Christmas lull. There are live folk music sessions once a month on a Thursday. Nothing is exceptional here, yet everything for a quiet drink is there. It has a... More

This pub looks charming from the outside with whitewashed walls and a thatched roof. Inside, however, the décor and furnishings are rather battered and bruised. Still, don’t be put off by the rather tatty surroundings as what they do offer they do very well indeed. We visited on a Sunday night in early June at around 7.30pm. The place was... More
