We booked well in advance as its a busy pub. We found customer service to be good, although they were struggling with staff off due to covid. The food and drink were both of a good quality. Entertainment was provided that made the place rock...late into the evening. Overall, a very satisfactory visitMore

We ate here on Saturday night. We’d had a long drive down and so to finally relax and unwind at this great pub/restaurant was perfect. The staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful. They are clearly having to work exceedingly hard but remain cheerful throughout....The food was great. We all had something different. Veggie burger, meat burger, fish and chips and ham, egg and chips. All were really good. On the second visit we arrived at 8.30 on Monday evening, without a booking, as we had been let down by another restaurant in Padstow. The staff were brilliant. Managed to fit us in and we all had another great meal. Well done the Merrymoor you deserve to do well. Great staff and good food. Many thanksMore

We stopped here on the off-chance one Sunday afternoon. The general menu looked OK but when we saw the great value Sunday carvery, there was no choice. Efficient, Covid friendly service and a lovely outdoor setting made the whole experience one to remember.

A great lively and fun venue. They were super stretched for staff over BH weekend due to Covid. They made a fantastic effort. Super friendly staff, bbq rather than a main menu in the sun. Opened outside bar! Live Music too over the sea :-)....Nice pint and gin xMore

We popped in for food after a glorious day on Mawgan Porth beach. The BBQ food was good and served by very friendly staff. The band kicked off around 7 and within an hour they had the place in party mode - aided by the...fabulous punters who embraced them with open arms and dancing shoes at the ready. It was a spirited atmosphere of fun and good times that we’ve all missed these past two years. And what a setting, watching the sun go down, whilst children played happily in the sandy play area. Thanks to Nick, the band, the staff and fellow revellers for making it a night to remember. Not to be missed if you get lucky to visit when the band is playing. Or anytime, for that matter!More

The boss man on the door was an absolute diamond, along side the two northern girls working the bag search. Overall the experience was second to none, helped amazingly by the security Alex who was helpful throughout the night, however the two girls working on...the bag search were phenomenal they couldn’t have done more to make me and my partner feel welcome within the establishment. Beyond the amazing welcome, the staffs service was absolutely amazing and incredibly efficient given the circumstances and sensitive to the issue of my daughter having one too many dark fruits leading to her stomping into a dog bowl spilling water everywhere. I couldn’t recommend this establishment more to any visitorsMore

We wanted to stop in Mawgan Porth enroute to somewhere else, the main Mawgan carpark was full but this place had a few spots for patrons free so we decided to pop in, it was about 11.45am and it had just been raining so it...wasn't yet full for lunch. Sat outside with a beautiful view, we just had drinks and some cheesy chips (great chips!), service was quick, the loos were clean and there is a tiny kids play area - everyone was happy.More

This place has not let us down. We have been coming to the Merrymoor a few years now and it has never let us down. Food great, great prices and staff are always really friendly and helpful. It’s a great location too. It’s usually very...busy which is a good sign and the wait isn’t too long.More
