Traditional in a dark wood and wood fires way. A charming, small pub tucked away on a side street in Mevagissey. Very people and dog friendly with welcoming staff, well-kept beer brewed in St. Austell, and groups of young middle-aged to elderly patrons enjoying each others, company. Just the place for Autumn, Winter or Spring visits.

We booked a table for dinner in the upstairs restaurant area after hearing during the afternoon that the place gets busy. We were glad we did because the area we were in was quiet but downstairs was very busy judging from the waitress constantly going up and down carrying out food. The waitress herself was pleasant and friendly, food was... More

Lovely atmosphere, pleasant staff. I had fish and chips, fish was cooked perfectly but the chia and mushy peas were only lukewarm, otherwise the rest of our table were very happy with their meals of steak which were cooked perfectly and the portions were very generous. Yes, I would go back.

This is a great, cosy pub. Good ambience and full of locals (always a good sign!). Also, very dog friendly. The food is excellent. Monday nights are good to catch the local choir practice.

Visited yesterday lunchtime with our little dog and all made to feel welcome. Got there just after they had opened and good job we did as it filled up fast. Order the large cod and chips each. Really really nice piece of cod, large and batter was really tasty. Good chips and mushy peas. Might have been nice to have... More

We visited the Fountain Inn last night 11/03 and had a medium 10oz Ribeye Steak with the trimmings for £15.00 each, highly recommended it's one of the best I have had for a long time. The Inn is 15th century and has a nice and cosy feel and the people were very welcoming . This appears to be a very... More

A very friendly and dog friendly pub. Excellent Fish and Chips but the Mussells are "to die for". Has two bars and an upstairs restaurant for a cosy evening meal. Went for lunch and an evening meal, both excellent
