Called in early Friday evening, the place was buzzing. We had not booked but friendly waitress found us the last table and swiftly sirted our drinks. Lovely variety on the special board thus week. I had the crab tian starter..OH the crab salad main. Both absolutely brilliant. Already looking forward to next visit

While on holiday we tried this lovely pub for Easter Sunday lunch. It was superb with a beautiful beef roast , excellent potatoes and veg.Very friendly service and good desserts too. We came back later in the week for dinner and were not disappointed. Well done to everyone associated here and a delight to see well behaved dogs being accommodated.

this was the best Sunday lunch either myself or my wife have eaten outside our own home - the beef was lovely (melt in the mouth) - all of the veg were freshly cooked and the roast potatoes were fabulous - desert was good too!! - Staff all friendly and helpful - nothing too much trouble

Very big portions, quick service and tasty food. Well worth a visit to this pub, we eat there twice and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences, the Sunday dinner is well worth a visit, but you will need to book.

Every year we come to Cornwall we visit the Polgooth Inn it's a lovely hidden away pub with stunning views and the lovely cows. Food always great and on a few occasions we went this year there was a live band playing. Well worth a visit and will be visiting again this year

Just got back from an Easter break to Cornwall and ate here two nights on the trot! This pub was listed as dog friendly so we decided to try it even though they were fully booked. Waited about 10 mins for a table at the busy bar and food came very quickly. Very nice selection of beers and food, and... More

My wife and I had lunch here and found the food good quality and a decent portion size. The pub is an old type pub with a welcoming feel to it.
