this is a frequently visited restaurant by myself and my friends. Usually between 8-10 of us and they are always very accommodating for such a large group (please note we always book ahead as its a very small venue). Service is always very friendly and professional and the food is fantastic (if a little slow to come out). i would... More

It was on a Monday night that we stayed in the Duke of Cornwall pub across the road from the Taj, I was looking forward to having my evening meal there having been before and found it quite good so far as pub grub goes. As we were shown to our room we were informed that food was not available... More

Really noisy, couldn't hear what people were saying. Service was comically slow. They seem more concerned with takeaways. The chutneys were good. One friend had garlic mushrooms to start, he got about two mushrooms, and they tasted like salt and nothing else. My garlic mushroom chicken tikka was bland. We visited the Taj on the 19th of September to celebrate my wife's 70th Birthday. The ambiance was great. 11 of us including children were well looked after by the waiters. The food was brilliant and the service excellent.

Ordered a delivery, waited an hour and a half for it to arrive, the driver didn't have a sat nav so apparently spent 20 mins trying to find us. Food was cold and i won't be ordering from here again. It took 10 mins for the guy to take the order correctly, i suppose that should have been a clue... More
