Went for dinner for 2 and enjoyed a pasta and steak. I think the food was a bit pricey for what it is but otherwise ok. Good selection of tap beer - would recommend that the management introduce better daily specials for $10 - $15

It's not a bad place by any stretch and the service is good. But I didn't particularly enjoy my meal - chicken schnitzel. The pepper sauce tasted like packet mix and the snitty or the sauce was a bit greasy. Three of us complained about the same thing so maybe just a bad night as previous visits have been ok.

Had a very good steak and a veal schnitzel for a meal early one evening in their Swill and Grill restaurant. Service was very good in both the bar and restaurant which had fantastic views of Lake Macquarie at the bottom of the road.

We stopped in for lunch to see the renovations and were quite impressed. The bar has had a major face lift and looks fantastic. Good was superb as always - highly recommend the BLT with maple bacon, to die for. Excellent selection of beers and wine, staff friendly and service was efficient. Will definitely be back.

The Gunyah has always been a favourite and with it's reopening it's still as good as before. There are some staples plus some new additions. Try the warm veg salad. The only negative, is there aren't alot of vegatarian choices but it's well worth a visit.

On the main drag in Belmont, one of the few hotels in the area, has a large dining room with excellent service. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection. One that I would recommend to anyone attending the Gunyah Hotel. The dining room was very busy on the Friday evening and a little noisy but as the night progressed... More

Went the Gunyah hotel with about 20 workmates for a farewell. Service and food were terrible. Our meals came out at odd timings and not any sort of sequence of ordering. The food was very ordinary. My veal scallopini was miserly for the price paid other meals being served around me looked as bad. Will not be going back there... More
