The degustation menu was the only choice - it was interesting with original dishes, well thought out combinations and flavours and a reflection of a talented chef. However, some courses just missed the mark. A whitlof cheese and truffle toastie was delicious on a winter...More

We went to dinner at Biota on a Saturday night. We had the degustation, and there were four of us. The staff were all very lovely and accommodating and were clearly passionate about their work. As expected, the food was all very local and interesting...More

We thoroughly enjoyed the friendly service and the beautiful dinner and breakfast. Rooms are small but we'll appointed. We found the staff courteous and friendly. It was a relaxing stay.

We had 8 of us booked in for lunch, nice setting, but the waiter really didnt want to be there. We had the wine matching, and without fail he dripped every bottle of wine over the table. The food was ok, some courses were great,...More

I had brunch here and it was a pretty big let down. The breakfast bowl was quite literally sliced avocado, boiled green beans, brown rice, half an egg and kingfish all seperate in a bowl. The brown rice was hard and undercooked, the avocado and...More

I want to give Biota a great review, but I can't. It was just average and expensive. The waiters said all the right things, but it seemed fake and forced. No vegetarian option. The recommendation was to order an entree as a main. Food pairings...More

I've been to Noma in Copenhagen. I know, I know, it sounds like I'm bragging - but bare with me on this. Getting a reservation at Noma is like winning a lottery. And it is amazing. Everything you read is true. Found ingredients, everything locally...More

After wanting to go to Biota since it's inception, I finally coaxed a girlfriend to make the trip from Melbourne. I ignored the recent reviews of other dinners, after recent praise from a number of publications, however, I should have taken heed. The experience was...More

No, they don't do BYO, I phoned them to double check. Their wine list is very extensive, obviously it is not cheap. This is fine dining.
