We live in Kiama and have made Nirand Thai our go to restaurant. We've noted other reviews indicating rudeness etc but have to say that one of guys there is very shy but recognises us when we arrive, knows we would like a glass of wine, and provides the most delicious food. What more can you ask for? Their Massaman... More

On honeymoon and visiting family and was brought here by my aunty. Ok, so the wait staff were a tad surly but the lunch menu was excellent. Great choice and value for money. 10 bucks (or a fiver in sterling) for a red curry and sticky rice. GET IN!!!

Well TBH I've been here a few times this week and I'll never know how they keep open!! Alright the food was ok and pretty quick coming up. But, the people that work here seriously need to go to customer service school!! It was a little chilly the other evening and they were going to seat us at the front... More

Saw the restaurant at the end of the street and walked up for lunch, however upon entering we appeared to have upset the manager simply by entering. At this point we were grunted in the direction we should be sitting, and the service didn't pick up from there after we asked if we could sit on the balcony. Food was... More

My husband and I are in Kiama for the weekend and we decided to have dinner at Nirand Thai. It was beautiful food and the service was exceptional. We have traveled to Thailand many times and eaten Thai street food and wr found this restaurant to be very close to original. The food was so good that we went back... More

Was here on 11 March and had a great time listening to music. The food was nice and lots of choices for vegetarians.

Walked in to an empty restaurant and to no greeting - that alone should have been the warning and indication of a terrible establishment! Menus where slapped on the table and the waiter walked off, another waiter smoking on the balcony! Dirty flooring, putrid table cloths and a non existent atmosphere! Got up and walked out after 10 mins of... More

My husband and I stopped in for some lunch. There was a stone faced man sitting outside who clearly did not want to greet us. We asked if it was open as he was so unenthusiastic. We were pointed to the outdoor table where we sat. Soon enough another unimpressed looking gentleman walked out to take our order. He said... More

Came here a few months ago, experience was so bad I thought it best to write a review. We didn't eat here... it didn't get that far. Popped in for a quick lunch, the staff looked at us weird, so much so that we asked if they were even open (we were the only customers in a place that seats... More

Arrived for lunch on Monday and was met at the door by a sour faced man who has no people skills at all. The only good thing about the service is that our food arrived quickly and was ok, nothing special. I suggest this restaurant hire some waiters who know how to serve!
