This used to be our favourite restaurant on LHI. It was more casual than Arajilla (the best restaurant open to the public, Cappella is the best but guests only). Sadly Pandanus is closed

Well appointed restaurant with a large dining room and outside area suitable for group bookings, The meals are fresh and dominated by seafood and local produce wherever possible. the staff were attentive and professional. The pricing seemed to be slightly more than comparable dining facilities,

Sadly this restaurant is now closed. It has always been an Island favourite and will be sadly missed. This restaurant served seafood, Asian, and steak dishes. Desserts were always delicious.

My wife and I had eaten at Pandanas on a previous trip to the island. It was a busy night when we went this time with most tables occupied but the service was quite prompt. I had steak and my wife had king fish. Both were adequate though not outstanding. For dessert my wife had a panacotta which was delicious.... More

Agree with positive recent recommendations by other reviewers: Pandanus is rated highly and deservedly so. However, it's CLOSING FOR GOOD THS WEEK so there's not much else to say really. Six of us were fortunate to dine here on Italian menu and all agreed all 3 courses were pretty good. Sad to see it go, but wish the owners well... More

Without doubt, the kingfish we enjoyed as a main course at Pandanus was possibly the best main course of a meal that we enjoyed during our stay on Lord Howe Island, and there is strong competition from some other restaurants! It may be personal preference, and it is difficult to make fair comparisons with say, Arajilla restaurant (where we also... More

On the night we dined at Pandanus the service was excellent. Friendly, helpful, but not over the top. Although the menu may be limited the food served was excellent. We had the fish which was cooked to perfection and presented well. Well worth a visit!

Our group enjoyed a very nice meal here - the fish was excellent. Service was great and the wine prices not over the top. This restaurant also does pizza and we had that a couple of times by The Lagoon. They were excellent, especially the pumpkin!

We ate here for our first night on LHI. Enjoyed the novelty of being driven to dinner and back home again in a minibus. Friendly service and good food but nothing spectacular. We realised after a few nights that many of the restaurants have quite similar food and wine menus. But this is understandable given that most ingredients have to... More
