Quite a surprise: fine dining (almost) at a bowling club, but there you are. Wonderful staff, like everywhere on the Island, fresh caught fish, some eaten as sashimi.

Lovely fresh seafood with a reasonable selection on the menu and daily specials, more conprehensive selection than most of the restaurants. Great friendly service, very popular with the locals. Suitable for families, couples and groups. Unpretentious food at reasonable prices, would definately reccommend unless you are looking for fine dining.

Generally we like to eat somewhere different every night but we enjoyed the "bowlo" so much that we ate there on consecutive evenings. The mainly fish-based menu is of excellent quality and the kingfish was particularly memorable. The well stocked bar (with possibly the cheapest prices on the island) is a centre of local social life and a great opportunity... More

We stayed on LHI last week. Our evening at the bowls club was a lot of fun and very memorable. The barefoot bowls is really enjoyable and brings out your competitive streak......plus it is a very welcoming place for a beer, wine etc....we did not eat as it does not serve food on Friday nights, but the menu looked tempting.....well... A superb family friendly venue, where you can have a great meal, plus a drink at the bar, & meet some of the locals. You can even have a game of lawn bowls on the well kept green if desired.

We experienced the 'Bowlo' on a weekend when a concert was booked. The experience was so good, The meal was fresh seafood that was generous in its portions and reasonably priced. Thos was a club that made you feel like one of the locals (even if it could only be for that night).

Make sure you book and come for a dinner to the Bowling Club. This is a very popular restaurant and offer great meals at a budget price. Very noisy and not very sophisticated but a friendly family atmosphere. Once again the fish was caught that morning and you cannot get any fresher

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Bowling club. We were surprised at just how good the food was. The Kingfish was delicious. Would recommend an evening here.
