Location excellent food very well prepared and presented. Senior host was warm and welcoming. Young man who greeted us may need to take a leaf from her book. Amazing lunch at Tidal today. We sampled the Chef’s tasting menu and it was fabulous. Tidal is not a hatted restaurant and we don’t understand why. Every course was simply delicious and perfectly presented, with the Chef explaining each dish. The service was the best...we have had in a very long time. If you visit Merimbula do yourself a favour and dine at this wonderful restaurant.More
What a great spot, great food, wine and staff were the happiest people on the planet. Can see why. Overlooking the water, the restaurant has a great view. Had the chefs tasting plate, everything was exceptional. Highly recommend.

We have eaten here a few times by now & have never been disappointed. Kudos to Fiona & Gavin for bringing Tidal to Merimbula 👏👏 as the food is delicious, the service with a smile is excellent, a well stocked bar & wicked cocktails to...try & a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. Loved everything about Tidal. Great view across the water. The staff were fantastic , and it was extra special that the chef served the main meal and also checked in to see how we enjoyed all the food. We had the Tide to Table platter...and everything on it was divine.More
Excellent restaurant in every way. Great location with a water view, superb food, atmosphere and service. Not too big or too noisy. I had the duck which was very good. The smoked duck breast was a bit too smoked for me but everything else great...especially the combination flavours of crispy duck leg wrapped in prosciutto and sprinkled with boudin noir or black sausage for us North of England folks. Husband had the lamb which was perfect. Desserts were delicious and the wine list is not large but contains several top drops.More

Best restaurant in town. Food is next level, service has improved greatly, staff are friendly and welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, in my opinion it’s the best in the district and we are lucky to have them in Merimbula

We had dinner at Tidal while in Merimbula for a short stay. The food was outstanding, one of the best dining experiences we have ever had! The lamb was melt-in-your- mouth and the fish was so fresh and delicious.. highly recommend this restaurant. If it...had been open Monday nights we would have gone again!More

We were only in Merimbula for one night, but stumbled across Tidal. It was comfortably the best meal we’ve had in a long time! Now we need to think of an excuse to come back to Merimbula…

Great menu, local beer, food was hot and wine was perfect! We also got to meet the head chef Gavin and his wife Fee. So good to have this local restaurant and support their friends back in Rutherglen too.

Honestly could not fault anything, superb dining experience! Each course came out in good time, everything was presented extremely well and absolutely delicious! Oysters for starters were very fresh and tasty. Wife ordered the lobster lasagna, it was so good I had to order it...too! I had the steak, cooked perfectly medium rare, everything on the plate accompanied it wonderfully. Wife had the market fish which was also about as fresh as you can get. Panna cotta for desert was a lovely way to finish it all off. Staff were very accommodating and genuinely made you feel welcome. The chef shows genuine passion in each dish. No hesitation in recommending Tidal and we will most definitely be back.More

This restaurant looks out over the lake at Merimbula and is very comfortable. There is an emphasis on local seasonal produce and the seafood dishes we had were very pleasant, The staff were engaging.
