We have always enjoyed Ahmed's restaurant, Byrsa. This was our first visit new the new location. We were more than happy. The new dishes on the menu that we tried were great and the old favorites were better than ever. The new chefs use of spices and herbs was top notch. Ambiance was lovely, this was a wonderful setting in... More

The Western Philadelphia suburbs are wonderful for taking rides down winding backroads and enjoying the open spaces and greenery. That was the enjoyable scenery we drove thru on our way out to Glen Mills a recent summer evening. After passing a winery, one comes upon a stream, old railway tracks and a charming old house set amidst beautifully landscaped greenery... More

It's worth the effort to find this out of the way place that isn't marked well yet (waiting for a sign permit). Hint, it's behind the Orvis shop (next to the historic Glen Mills train station) with ample parking behind Orvis. Very picturesque with outdoor dining on nice night. It's the food you come for. The chef does a great... More

Business group of five at dinner. Swift seating, excellent service. All found the appetizers through entrees and desserts to be well made and just right. We'll all be back soon

Had dinner at the recently relocated Byrsa Bistro. The food is very good, but quite overpriced for Mediterranean food. The portions ate very small. Mt entree of stuffed calamari was one very small squid and spinach in tomato sauce. I would consider it an appetizer portion. We were quite provoked when the waiter told us that we had ordered the... We came for lunch one time and were impressed to return for dinner. Middle-east menu (?) Very pleasant wait staff, but dark interior and rather cramped spaces. We did enjoy what we ate though...

A small, comfortable, interior. Interesting menu thoroughly Mediterranean. We were served a complimentary vegetable amuse bouche. Our shared appetizer was the mushroom flat bread was very good but filling. We also ordered one of their Tapas which came with slices of flat bread and olives, good olives, not brine soaked. The Paella was excellent and the duck special equally good.... More

Byrsa has excellent Mediterranean food. We had the paella and loved it. It had an abundance of seafood with subtle, delicious flavors. We had the sampler which was excellent, too. The one very slight downside is that it's just a little bit pricey; but it's not outrageous. And, it's BYOB!
