Who would have thought you could find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the middle of Amish country? I actually never had Vietnamese food before, but they turned me into a fan. Loved our appetizers (summer rolls and fried shrimp) and our lemongrass stir-fries were outstanding. My friend loved his soup. Some of the biggest shrimp I have ever seen in... More

Ok.... I have to say their service was Absolutely Wonderful, Food was Good until my Wife found a beard hair in her food. Then when paying the bill I saw the gentleman that it came from. Needless to say that killed lunch. I do understand that this stuff happens, but beard nets should stop that. We'll try again.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the great food in this unassuming strip-mall restaurant. Don't go for the ambiance -- it's just one small room with few adornments -- but do go for the food and service which was as good or better than any we've had at other Vietnamese restaurants. No vegetarian egg rolls, which was a disappointment, so... More

If you want to try an excellent new dish rather than getting pho over and over again, try the banh xeo, AKA halfmoon crepe. This may take about 20 minutes to prepare so that the crepe becomes thin and brittle so allow the extra time. It is served on a huge platter filled with sprouts, meat, and shrimp which are... More

Great food, and tons of it. Friendly service in a nondescript strip center. You can get a huge bowl of chicken broth soup with a multitude of add-ins. Had the shrimp and crabmeat. The shrimp were huge. Would try something other than crabmeat next time (it tasted like fish).

The Saigon Cafe is a rare gem in an unexpected environment. A basic looking restaurant in a modest strip center. The food is exceptional, and I have eaten Vietnamese food from San Francisco and Vancouver to NY and Boca Raton. The food was perfect, ample and fairly priced. Would definitely eat there again when near Lancaster.

One of my favorite places for chicken soup, hot tea, and avocado shakes. Be sure to arrive at least an hour before closing; sometimes they'll put the Closed sign up early.

I originally found this place when dating a Vietnamese girl who really knew her food! While the location is nothing to write home about, the quality of the food is stellar. I would also suggest considering them if you are looking for take out. The food that you get for the price makes it a great deal!

I've eaten here several times and always enjoy the food. It's best to know what you want going in the door because you're not going to get much of an explanation from the waitress and what you do hear will be very hard to understand if you only speak English. That said I still like going here to eat.
