We got into this restaurant rather by chance (although reassured by Trip Advisor reviews). We were excited not only how delicious the meal was (we had excellent lamb and pork loin that can easily compare to meat dishes we had in Gault Millau praised restaurants) but also by the the great value for very reasonable cost. That we are Swiss... More

This quaint little family-owned restaurant is a must! Tucked back in a little strip center, I can't believe we had the good luck to stumble upon it! My two friends and i had the best time! Very clean and cozy, stellar service, and the food was out of this world!!! Both owners took the time to stop by. So impressed... More

There are many reason why...but I will not support this business. Food was OK. Serves above average. Never again.

Inside a store-front in a strip mall. We were left standing inside the entrance for almost 7 minutes at 630p before anyone noticed us...& the restaurant was virtually empty! Didn't care for the atmosphere, as there wasn't any. Chef Marc is rather odd. He doesn't spend much time in the kitchen because he's constantly hovering everywhere else. Food took quite... More

Chef Mark's Palate was recommended to us by the hotel, and they were on the "mark". The atmosphere was quiet and inviting. The server was attentive. We were warned to bring our own bottle of wine. We shared the filet Oscar with smashed potatoes and a side of mushrooms. It was perfectly prepared and delicious. It was an excellent meal,... More

My hubby took me to Chef Marks for my birthday dinner and we couldn't say enough good stuff about it. We started with a "flaming" cheese for an appetizer which was so good. There was cheese in a delicious oil in a skillet and on the side was grilled veggies and for spreading the cheese on was flatbread. So good.... More

I took my wife out for her birthday and read the reviews on tripadvisor for Chef Mark's Palate so I thought we would give this a try. The restaurant wasn't overly busy for a Friday night but it was very nice inside. It took awhile to figure out where we were supposed to wait to be seated but once we... More

Nestled among other stores in a small strip mall in Latrobe, we found Chef Mark's Palate hiding in the corner. It's BYOB which many patrons brought just to put that special touch on a delicious meal. The chef is the owner and his wife visits every table to interact with guests and to receive feedback about the meals. The interior... More

Don't be put off by the strip mall location; Chef Mark knows what he's doing. His training at the Culinary Institute of America is evident in his masterful preparations of fish (try the perfect Ahi tuna) and steak. The ceasar's salad was superb, band so was the kasseri appetizer. If you're in the Laurel Highlands, make this a MUST.

Visited with two friends on Sunday for the brunch. The restaurant is somewhat dark but a cute use of the room with 'fireplace' and simulated windows. Chef makes omelettes near the buffet along with Eggs Benedict. The mapleglazed bacon was a standout--crunch and sweet. Breakfast potatoes, stuffed french toast (yum!), a variety of sweet and breads round out the breakfast... More
