It's been my experience that hotel restaurants are generally, at best, utilitarian. They serve a decent quality of food at a somewhat fair price, but are nothing out of the ordinary. The Fork & Bottle at Malvern's Desmond Hotel, which used to be known as...More

The Hunt room was totally remodeled and it looks great. It is very different from the darker wood look. I have to say, though, the food while good was not great and the menu was somewhat limited. The service was very good, but I put...More

We were seated immediately but waited a long time for the arrival of our food after ordering. I had perhaps the worst onion soup I have ever had. It had a very heavy and salty beef broth, very few onions and an odd bagel like...More

The server was friendly but unfortunately that's the only nice thin I can say. The decor is so old school it's ridiculous. Clearly they are catering to a much older crowd, but I'm not sure why they wouldn't update it just a tad. The food...More

Dear Dana S, I am sorry you didn't have a great dining experience, your description is obviously not our standard. I will review your comments with the chef and make sure everything is up to our usually high standards. We do have a planned complete...More

The restaurant (classic British-type hunt room ambiance) is located within the Desmond Hotel in Malvern PA, an upscale boutique-type hotel that appeared to cater to business travelers. Parking is easy. We tried to make reservations for a weeknight and they told us it wasn't necessary....More
