Food and drinks are extremely overpriced for what you get. Your mostly paying for atmosphere. The place is nice and clearly unique. Service was fair to poor. I had crab cakes. They were good but not 'great'. The wings were pretty great though. Probably won't be rushing back here too soon.

Obviously, opinions vary widely. This is a brew pub which generally has a selection of very good beers. Indoors, it is a very dark old fashioned bar, perfectly fitting for a 150 building. It has a nice garden seating area in season. Food has ranged from mediocre on occasion, to good generally, and occasionally excellent. Service has ranged form very... More

For Mother's Day Weekend, I took my mom and aunt to a murder mystery dinner at Bube's. It was such fun--the atmosphere was perfect, the authentic old hotel lent an air of mystery to the whole evening; the characters interacted with everyone in attendance (about 32 people); we felt comfortable and excited searching the rooms for clues, and getting drinks... My wife and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary at Bube's this past Saturday night with a Murder Mystery at Alois's. Fantastic night! We were told doors open at 5:30 but we didn't need to arrive until around 6:00...We got there at 5:30 which was good. It got crowded fast and the line at the bar got pretty deep. Hors d'oeuvres... Bube's is a place that I always wanted to visit, but just never found myself in Mt. Joy. There's a surprise. This place is well worth a trip off of I-283. It is definitely a unique brewpub. Stopped for lunch today and started with their Rye IPA - tasty. For eats I had the Portabello Tacos - a nice change-up... More

On a Friday, we went to lunch. The only place to eat here was in the bar. It was not good, it was bad, and the room was ugly. Fish taco was made with only sour tasting cabbage. The Petrucchi (sp?) was basically an Italian cold cut sandwich heated to melt the cheese, lots and lots of lettuce, and very... More

I was there with my girlfriends, first time and enjoyed the tour and the history of the brewery. However, we were not impressed with the service. Service was slow , food was not good at all. Burnt burger with no taste, waitress spilled water in my soup, burnt wings and burnt fries. When a person from my party sent back... More

I get to be in Mt Joy often due to my business. I always make sure to include a stop at Bube's when I can. There are always 5 beers on tap that are brewed in house. They are always very good and sometimes top notch. I often eat in the Bottle Works Pub or Beergarten (during the Summer), but,... More

We had the occasion to visit Bube's Brewery this weekend as part of homecoming weekend at a local college in the area. There were four of us in our party and we attracted to this restaurant due to locals recommendations. We were seated right away which was great for 5pm on a Saturday night. We started with 2 appetizers which... More

My recent dining experience at bubes was absolutely horrible. when we walked in we heade for the beer garden to look and see how crowded it was. And a women came up to us clapping her hands at us like we're children and told us we needed to wait to be seated. Later I found out that this women was... More
