I'd been wanting to go to this place for months. My wife was reticent. The drive was a put off. But we made it, in celebration of our anniversary. On the face of it, it could be all wrong. A restaurant surrounded by chain and local Mom & Pop eateries, at a highway interchange, in a motel complex. But it's... More

If you are looking for something that is genuinely different from all of the other choices, with a couples environment you'll find this to be a great experience. Don't let the location fool you, even though it's hard to find the entrance :) this place is worth the visit.

Had a great dinner with some great friends. We really enjoyed our meals and next time will get the larger portion of the Braided Beef. It was awesome! The most notable part of the evening was the wonderful service we received. Amanda was our server and was delightful and attentive. The food and atmosphere were great but Amanda is the... More

We had a delicious dinner at the Garlic Poet. The cocktail menu is unique and we ordered a mix of cocktails and wine that we all enjoyed. I found the menu a bit hard to navigate because of some of the terminology and titles but I settled on the Short Ribs, my date the pork chop while the other couple... More

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Amazing food, great choices of beers on tap, seasonal menu. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. They have a flavored butter of the day.... really! Wait staff is always friendly and well trained. GP is attached to a hotel, but you really wouldn't know it once you... More

Just off the PA Turnpike, and located inside of a Clarion Hotel, the Garlic Poet is an amazing find of a restaurant! The owners are very interested in flavor blends, and cater to the 'foodie-crowd' and can appease the picky. The setting of the restaurant is just lovely and comfortable. The food does not disappoint and service exceeds expectations! Very... More

With a name like the garlic poet, one would think the mainstay of the food would revolve around garlic...not the case. Although they use garlic in their recipes, the name is not synonymous with the dishes. I was, however very surprised with this restaurant...in a very good way. My wife is a garlic freak and she was wanting to try... More
