Although we have lived in the area for several decades, this was our first visit to Ota-Ya. When we arrived at its off-the-beaten-track location last Saturday evening, we discovered that it was smaller than we expected and quite busy. However, we did manage to get the last available table. The manager was friendly and engaging, and she promptly made sure... More

I went here with a friend in the beginning of December on a Tuesday night. We ordered a couple of special rolls, and to our surprise, we had the best sushi ever! The fish was so fresh, and there was a lot of it, with very little rice (brown rice, too!). The pieces were so big that we couldn't even... More

I returned to Ota Ya after nearly 10 years of living away from Bucks County. OTa Ya still has the freshest sushi. It is tasty and refreshing. We ended up getting take out and I wish we had ordered more. Love it!

From the moment we step inside, we feel like we are visiting family. We are greeted with a smile, and shown to our table. Fair warning - Friday nights are VERY busy with lots of regulars. Be sure to make a reservation or get there before 7p.m. The wasabi dressing on the garden salad is amazing. The Veggie Tempura is... More

Best sushi around by far. It is not a fancy place but their sushi is absolutely terrific. I recommend the spicy tuna pizza to start. The spicy rock roll is on their special menu and is the best. Friday nights are very busy so expect a wait. They also do take out. We go or take out at least once... More

Ate here once. the sushi was so bad I couldn't finish it. the food is terrible. I later read in the newtown health inspection report that they got cited for roaches in the kitchen, a nest under the dishwasher, and I almost vomited. the health inspectors went back and the issue still wasn't taken care of. This place should be... More

The sushi was average. It is a BYOB. It is small and quaint. The sushi is comparable to other places in the area.

Time and again we come to this place tucked in a typical suburbian shopping strip in a heart of Bucks County. It is a secret you do not want to share but wish it well. Sushi and rolls and sashimi and salads are simple yet original and super fresh and tasty. The athmospher is your best aunt's house. They greet... More

We have just come back from our 2nd time trying Ota-ya and both experiences were very positive....we experienced quite a few various sushi/sashimi offerings and specialty rolls here - and each one was top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to even the very experienced lover of Sushi. On the other side of the coin and explaining... More

Would not go anywhere else for sushi. Have not had a single negative experience here in years. If you like your sushi creative in presentation and taste, perfect place for you.
