This is probably the best sushi in the area. Very fresh, good service, and well made. It gets crowded and with no reservation you will always wait

I was in Newton for business and the Uber driver recommended this restaurant over the one I originally picked. The sushi was great and service was great. My co- worker had the bento box. I was surprised by how large it was. She selected the shrimp teriyaki and said it was delicious. I had a few traditional rolls and they... More

Our visit to Oishi turned out to be a very positive experience. Very fresh and tasty food all over the many different types of food we ordered- both raw and cooked. Very pleasant and efficient service staff. Upscale room is nicely maintained. The only thing missing here is a liquor license. Having a Sapporo or Kirin beer would have topped... More

The sushi is delicious along with the pad Thai. My fiance and I go whenever we get a chance. They are also wonderful with keeping everything separate for my shellfish allergy and they do not make me feel like I am a problem for telling them about my allergy.

One of my favorite restaurants in Newtown! Yummy Asian food for reasonable prices. The service is always good and so is the food.

The sushi is generally fresh and the menu has an inviting array of selections. They offer take out also. The restaurant is in a strip center and can often be very busy particularly on weekends. The tables are very close together and it can be extremely noisy. It's BYOB and there is no corkage fee. It's definitely worth a try... More

They have a very large menu with just about everything you could want either Japanese or Thai. It is a contemporary style and very busy, so make a reservation. It is located in a strip shopping center, but has great atmosphere.

Oishi and its sister restaurant KO across the street still do not disappoint. Had the Gopdal, a tried and true favorite, and it's Delicious. Service was fast, food was prompt, food was great!

I come here with my family very often. It's an extremely reliable option, and we come here probably once or twice a month. They are very accommodating and the manager is super nice. Their sushi rolls always taste the same, but they always taste great. I like the variety of options even though I always get the same one or... More
