There are not enough good words that can be said about the reception we had in the The Rose & Thistle Room. When we first met with the manager she was more than willing to work with us for the and addressed all our concerns. The day of the wedding the staff were friendly, efficient and professional and made everyone... More

We used to go to this restaarant regularly as it was one of the nicer places in town. However, recently it has really gone down hill. Not only does it look pretty worn (carpet, light fixtures, etc) it is just not clean. On our last visit our utensils actually stuck to the dirty, well worn, place mats. This place also... More

We were on the road and looking for a place to stop for lunch that was not fast food. A sign on the road led us to the Ball and Thistle Pub in the Golf Club. It was great! Service was attentive and the food was very good. The bee was cold to boot! I had the Tuna Melt. I'm... More

Stopped here for lunch and it was very good. The service was quite friendly and the menu was varied with plenty to choose from. Whether you're golfing or not, stop here to eat and you will enjoy it.

We've been going at the Ball & Thistle on average twice a month for many years mostly for lunch. The prices are a little higher than average but the food is upscale. You can eat outside and the view is very nice.

The B&T has nice pub atmosphere on the ground floor of the country club but is open to the public. It can be a little disconcerting when you arrive as you enter the country club building must walk down a large stairway to find the restaurant. In the winter the fireplace is very cozy. The restaurant overlooks the links-style course.... More

We were pleasantly surprised when dining at the Ball & Thistle. It had been recommended by our B&B host. Walked in with a good guitarist playing tunes. We were there on a Saturday night, didn't have reservations, got a table right away. Food was good, not outstanding. View of the golf course and sky at sunset was very pleasant.
