Salt of the Earth is one restaurant I could visit every week. The menu was never boring, the staff was attentive, the space vibrant without being too noisy. I loved that the offerings were changed seasonally, sometimes more often than that. It is a testimony...More

Owner is an architect by his first calling; this great restaurant was a diversion. Cool design has community tables and kitchen bar seating downstairs, with 4-top table seating on 2nd level balcony. VERY reluctantly accommodated food allergies as they don't like to deviate from chef's...More

I'm fighting my subjectivity to give this restaurant a good review. So I'll just start with being objective. The food was exceptional and portions were fair, I had the salmon and the thing melts in your mouth, out of this world. My friend had the...More

Great dinner on a Monday night. Staff were beyond professional and friendly. The restaurant has a comfortable, unpretentious vibe -- good lighting & music, plenty of different seating options. Some reviews we read mentioned the drink & food were pricey but we found them to...More

If you don't mind sitting at a large table with people you do not know and adore great clean sophisticated down home food this restaurant is a great experience. All of the flavors combined were magnificent.

We have not been back to this restaurant since there were some ownership changes. Glad we went back this past weekend. Love the appetizers.

We took our daughter out for a birthday celebration. I was a little apprehensive since the restaurant had gained a great reputation under the direction of the original chef, Kevin Sousa but not much has been written about Brandon Fisher. Fortunately, we were not disappointed....More

I really cannot say enough good things about our meal at SALT. My husband and I had travelled to Pittsburgh for a wedding and had a free night on our own. We were staying downtown but decided to walk to SALT along Penn Ave. We...More
