This place does a booming business despite it's hallway type environment. Yet, I always find a seat to enjoy my waffle while many opt for take out. The owner states that in the beginning he experimented with many recipes. I say he hit the mark on this sweet treat. They were good in Belgium; his are better, IMO. I generally... More

If you're in Squirrel Hill for Dessert, you've gotta do this. The made to order Belgian waffles are quick to serve up, hot, topped with fresh, delicious fruit/chocolate/ice cream/nutella (whatever you want). You will not regret eating here.

Real Belgium waffles just delicious! Strictly dessert waffles not a restaurant. Very few seats inside.

I've been to Brussels and this shop tries to replicate that. Waffle is decent. Was asked if I wanted to eat there, after looki around quickly decided no. Seems as though they are working on new location which should help. Had Nutella on waffle, guy whipped the spatula on to go container, making it rather messy. Need better customer service.

Spotted this kiosk on our way to University of Pittsburgh and thought it would be fun to check it out. Then our campus tour guide raved about it and said it ruined her bikini body, affirming our thought that we had to have it!. We each had a nutella milkshake and shared a waffle covered with nutella, bananas and strawberries.... More

Loved the original waffle. It doesn't even need toppings, it's that good as it is. Highly recommended.

what to even write...ice cream and waffles. An unlikely combo that goes SO WELL together. It doesn't say on the menu, but you can get a sugar waffle with whatever you want on it! Get creative!!

Our cousin took us to this restaurant and, when we walked in, I was not overly impressed. It was small, there were just a few places to sit and eat and it could not readily accommodate our party of six. However, once we placed our orders and managed to seat almost everyone, we were pleasantly surprised! Since there were six... More

Description
Unlike the Belgian waffles found in America, this one is not confined only to the breakfast table. In fact, the Liège waffle is the perfect walking snack which can be eaten any time of day. The yeasted dough is made from scratch out of the best quality ingredients - including pearl sugar imported from Belgium. It is this special sugar that gives the Liège waffle its distinctive flavor and texture. When cooked in a heavy-duty cast iron griddle, the sugar nibs carmelize and create a sweet & crunchy outer shell which envelops the doughy waffle within.
