We really enjoyed our lunch of pizza and salad, two of us shared the pizza and salad. We chose the bread salad (forgot the Italian name) and then splurged on gelato which is sold by the ounce so you can buy a small amount. We enjoyed it all, for me especially the salad, and the service was fine. Only downside... More

I am not to sure about this one. It was a very nice looking restaurant, clean and great location in Shadyside. Lots of fun shopping around. The restaurant really needed music . Felt like you should be listening to italian music.Staff was pleasant. I had the margarita pizza. Very little toppings. All I could smell was charcoal from the very... More

Great restaurant in Pittsburgh. The pizzas are wonderful, but you really can't go wrong. Be sure to try the gelato!

Mercurio's is a small pizzeria that serves up authentic Italian pizza. Lots of interesting combinations. We were very pleased with the pizza and salad. Portions are large enough to split.

My family eats here frequently. When we returned to Pittsburgh after spending a month in the Campagna region of Italy in 2009, our family longed for the taste of real Neapolitan pizza. Thank you Michael for mastering this great art and sharing it with us back home! If you have every been to Italy and fallen in love with vera... More

We only came for gelato but they were out of just about everything. I tried a dish of a less than favorite flavor and it was good. But I could not get what I came for.

I arrived in Shadyside really wanting a pizza and found that Mercurio's has some of the best in the area. I got the Margarita pizza - it had a thin crust that was crispy but soft inside, with good sauce and tasty mozzarella cheese. In summary, it was just what I was looking for in a pizza. Looks like they... More

This is my second visit to this restaurant and they left me full and satisfied. I ordered the Margarita pizza and a half liter of their house red which I split with a friend . The pizza and wood fired and delicious. The sauce is so fresh and the cheese is melty and wonderful. I finished with some stracciatella and... More

One of my friends took us there exclusively for ice cream. I had a tough time deciding what to choose but made the right choice: european chocolate and bananas and peanut butter. It was really good. Definitely a place to try some good gelato!
