Honestly - I've had amazing meals here and average meals here. Typically they are very good, but every now and then, it's a miss. The cob salad is normally a winner and has been 4 out of 6 times. The lobster ravioli is literally to...More

This was a dinner for a large group attending a convention here. Meals were pre-ordered and seats assigned. Even with my coaching, staff had trouble getting me the meal I had ordered. My meal was a good 1015 minutes after next to last. I arrived...More

Had dinner here with 5 of my colleagues. Service was fast and friendly. We all thought the Italian food was very good. One person is a vegetarian and he didn’t have any problem finding options on the menu.

We just loved dining here. The restaurant had great service, lovely food. We were so happy that people were dressed in an elegant way, yet it is not a pretentious restaurant at all. How can one say a restaurant was such that one can hear...More

We went for family dinner on a Friday night. The service was impeccable. Our waiter did a fantastic job of explaining the menu and accomodating the gluten-free status of half of the dining party. For those that weren't gluten free - the house made pasta...More

Another dinner before going to the theater. Enjoyed the Arancini and Zucchini as appetizers. I was filled up with those two and we shared between three people. I ordered the Fennel Salad which was okay, not much flavor. I had the homemade pasta with meatballs....More

Beautiful decor and encourages a bit more than casual dress. Excellent staff who make great recommendations. Crab cakes were a big hit. Excellent wine list. Desserts worth getting even if you just share. Quiet so nice for good conversation.

Family owned and operated for over 50 years, following in the footsteps of Vallozzi's Classic Restaurant in Greensburg, PA. We use fresh, quality ingredients, as well as Italian meats cheeses flown in from Italy every week. Our extensive wine list is a recipient of The Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence featuring an extensive collection of Italian and Domestic wines. We can host your intimate date, family dinner, business meetings, or larger parties in our banquet room. Or come enjoy a specially made cocktail in our bar area and a small bite. Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh.
