The food is excellent - even for vegetarians,. I had a noodle/vegetable bowl which was as good as I've ever had - supremely tasty. It's not cheap and I was pleased to be a guest, but worth it. It's incredibly dark, so you need a torch to read the menu if your eyes are not sharp!

We are tough on our Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh. Half of the city has fond memories of feasting on Nonna's pasta after Sunday mass, and wants to see something recognizable when they go out to eat--and doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it either! On the other hand, we have been treated to the work of... More

We live in the neighborhood and had hoped that this would be our new walk to place for a good dinner but we were very disappointed. The starters were okay. The mains though were blah and overpriced. The food was so boring and under seasoned that it's a challenge to even write about it. They were not busy but couldn't... More

Cibo, with a new chef this year, has become a regular destination for our family. I enjoyed roasted chicken with tomatoes, onions, and avocado. Our other 3 diners had vegetarian pasta dishes. My cauliflower with anchovy flavored sauce delighted all. The Italian desserts were vanilla ice cream covered with decaf expresso. The waitress patiently explained menu subtleties and translated dish... More

We ate many times at the original CIBO and loved it and the new restaurant is even better. It just might be our favorite go to now in Pittsburgh! We had the beet pear and arugula salad which was light and delicious. The crab beignets were also incredibly good being light fluffy and crabby! Easily shared as there were 5... More

What a fantastic little hideaway in the heart of Regent Square. You'll feel like you're dining in Tuscany with the amazing Italian dishes on the menu of which there are too many to choose from. We shared multiple dishes so everyone could try as much as possible an whether it was the duck confit, the flatbreads, the elk carpaccio as... More

Cibo has returned after being closed for almost a year for renovations. They have a fantastic new chef - Jennifer Burfield, formerly at Cure - and a completely new, delicious menu. Their staff is experienced and professional, on top of their game. With the warmer weather, dining al fresco is available again. We ate there for lunch on Sunday and... More

Had read that Cibo had just reopened after a complete remodel and new chef (Jennifer Burfield - came from Cure) and menu. So, glad we decided to try it last Saturday night. Food was fantastic and service was warm and efficient. Jennifer came out and spoke with us for a while and she was delightful. The mussels with garlic, meyer... More

This tiny but charming little restaurant is a gem. It's a pricey by my standards but for a special occasion, worth the splurge. Everyone in our group said their meal was delicious. My Eggplant Parmesan (one of only two vegetarian entrees on the menu that night) was perfect. A nice sized house salad came with it. Because the restaurant is... More

Just returned home from a truly special evening out at Cibo. Heard from a friend that the new chef had some amazing dishes, and he didn't disappoint! Started with the Beans and Greens, which was cooked to perfection- the beans were just the right texture and the entire appetizer was wonderful. Next had a lovely vegetable/sausage soup (a daily special)... More
