Diner with massive pancakes that is popular with the locals. Not a health food place by any standard - lot's of greasy, tasty food. Diner looks like a throw back from the '50's but the wait staff are tattooed and surly. Food and coffee comes out to the kitchen hot and fast. Lots of character. Not bad.

Although part of a city-wide chain, Pamela's Diners looks like it's been in operation since the 1950's. The decor is electric blue and chrome, and the chair feature red vinyl seats. It's located at the Eastern edge of the University cluster, so there are lots of students eating here. The breakfast menu is large, featuring more than a dozen varieties... More

Wonderful, quaint, local breakfast and lunch restaurant. Cash only. Excellent crepe style pancakes are their specialty. President and Mrs. Obama liked them so much when they were in Pittsburgh that they had the owners come to the White House to cook breakfast for some soldiers. By far, Our Family's Favorite Breakfast Place. Be prepared for lines after 8:30 am but... More

I've been at the restaurant a few times but finally got a chance to try it and it was worth the visit. The food was very good and served extremely fast. So if your hungry good place to stop in! Service was very nice and friendly and efficient. Deathly be back to try a few more things on the menu... More

this place is great! It is always packed but moves fast. The food is Heaven and the price is reasonable for the city. Everything you expect in a good diner: comfort food, good coffee, friendly service and a neighborhood meeting place. And EVERYONE is right, the pancakes (they call them hotcakes) are DELICIOUS!!!!

This is a great spot to get some quality diner food and atmosphere. Nothing hi brow, just good food served as quickly as the kitchen can get it out given a busy lunch crowd Only takes cash so be prepared.

Food is unbelievable. Solid 5 stars for breakfast food. Hotcakes are the bomb. Brought the family here for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Prices are reasonable. Place was crowded. Parking can be an issue. Bathrooms? Need some work in this area folks.

Quaint, great value, best crepe pancakes. They were even taken to the White House where breakfast was cooked and served for President Obama and military members. Cash only.

We came on a Saturday morning, hungry for workman's food: eggs, carbs, & coffee. We left satisfied, even though we spilled the sugar packets & salt 'n pepper to the floor. I had a Western Omelet, Lyonaise potatoes, wheat toast and black coffee seated with the three walls of the restaurant. You'll see our table and the garage-like wall lifted... More
