Ok so the beginning was wonderful. The homemade red wine was really delicious, as was the cold mixed appetizer of hummus, tabbouleh, tzatziki, etc. The lamb kebab was tough and overcooked though I asked specifically for medium rare. The salads with the entrees were a bit watery and I barely ate mine. The baklava was dry and seemed like it had... More

This unassuming spot, tucked into a narrow storefront downtown, turns out to have some of the best food we've found in Pittsburgh. From the homemade wine and garlicky hummos to the lighter-than-air "Onassis cake" with "Onassis coffee" at the end, this is food to satisfy the soul. It's not fancy dining, but it is wonderful, satisfying, and flavorful. The salad... More

From the gracious host to the absolutely delicious, not to mention authentic, Greek cuisine this place was amazing. Definitely try the wines! The dry white and the red were some of The Best wines I've tasted. Christo's is small, so call ahead if you have a group, but don't miss this place because it's terrific!

In spite of looking full, they packed our party of four in. Lovely people, working so hard in a very busy night. Service was slow but to be expected because it was packed. The older gentleman who was serving worked so hard and seemed to remember everything. The flavors were good, but the lamb was sadly tough and a little... More

Great hummus, salad with anchovies and lemon potatoes - great combination! Lamb was tender, 3 cheese in phyllo - flavorful, mousaka - slightly sweet w/complementary saltiness and flavors, and cake created for Jackie O - light and delicious. So authentic - Christo is very personable, we had a wonderful experience!

My wife and I came here after having our wedding blessed in Greek. These guys went above and beyond to bring Greek traditions to Pittsburgh. They brought in live music for us, and made the night very special. The food is very good. Traditional Greek food and it is inexpensive. We will visit often!

This somewhat small, personal restaurant is completely authentic. I just returned from Athens and realized that Christo's does it the way it's done in Greece. The service is great, the food is fresh, and the price is very reasonable. The chef/owner worked on a yacht in Greece and cooked for Jackie & Aristotle Onassis. This chef developed a light, low-calorie... More

One of the best Greek places this side of Athens. It is like being off the square in down town Athens. It is family run. The food is great. Try Christo's home made wine. Its very good. Service is good. I have been here many times. never disappointed. If you are in the area. I recommend it highly.

My wife and I were exploring in downtown and walked down 6th. Christo, the owner, met us on the sidewalk in front of his place and started a friendly conversation. We were looking for a quaint, mid-afternoon Saturday lunch. Christo brought us a menu and invited us to come in. We left two and a half hours later. We enjoyed... More

The food was good along with entertaining service. The waitress (forgot the name, but older lady) was full of personality and stories. The food was good but the portions were small. For dessert, order the Jackie O. cake.
