Wow! If meals could change your life..... Just had dinner at Six Penn, saw chicken paprikash on the menu, and decided that when in Pittsburgh, try the Eastern European dishes. Great heavenly days! Simply perfect. This Hungarian delicacy, done right, has complex flavors when it all comes together, and they did it right. My partner had the baked chicken with... More

Hubby and I had dinner before a show. He had the Parisian Gnocchi and I had the Roasted Chicken. We both enjoyed the flavor of our main courses, and they very thoughtfully split our very delicious Caesar salad at no charge. Our server was nice, though she started off by excusing herself for being late to attend to us because... More

We had an absolutely fantastic meal here with friends. This is a fun, festive restaurant with top-flight food and a nice selection of fairly priced wine. We'll be back the next time we are in Pittsburgh.

We had dinner after the ballet. The restaurant is within walking distance to the theater. The service was friendly but we had trouble locating our server when we finished so we could pay our bill. The salmon I ordered was over cooked and the child's SPK steak and potatoes was very tough. The other two adults in our party had... More

Stopped in for dinner during a very busy night in Pittsburgh. Penguins stadium game and big shows at both Heinz Hall and the Benedum. Six Penn is very convenient to anything in the theater district and is an easy walk to anywhere. The restaurant was very crowded as might be expected and we had a fairly large group. They were... Eat the specials. I come here at least once a season to check out whats new on the menu and to see what beauty the cooks have created. They really do food well, seem to choose great ingredients and push the envelop on creative food in a way that is both elegant without being stuffy. Its as if it takes... More

Went here for lunch and ate at the bar. Asked the bartender what am I eating and he said you have to have the special - Fish Cod Taco with slaw and a side of cajun mac n cheese. Boy was he right! I could have that everyday as it was light and at the same time filling. Had a... More

The long line up of smelly dumpsters for the entire building which are next to the restaurant may be necessary, but it turns my stomach and that in itself, is bad enough. But what they do have control over is that the employees, who you know are cooking your food, line up - standing and even sitting on the ground... More

We had reservations for two prior to seeing a show at Heinz Hall. Unfortunately the weather was terrible and we ended up being 30 minutes late for our reservation. The staff called us when we didn't show and held our table which was appreciated. Due to the time crunch, we didn't have many options to pick from the menu that... More

Very disappointing experience for a business dinner. The restaurant was busy so completely understand the slow service, but there is no excuse for the food quality (uneven portions for identical entrees, over salted in some cases) and chintzy portions given the prices. Will not be back.
