I was over with my family to celebrate the March birthdays in the family. It was my first time there and Alex was our waiter, he has an amazing energetic personality. He created a fun atmosphere and he suprised the birthday people with a dessert. Would love to go back

I’m a single mother of two that just moved to the city with my boys, we stumbled upon the melting pot while walking around checking out the station square area and decided to give it a try. I must say I will never forget our time there and will definitely be back. Our waiter Tyler and I only remember his name because that’s my youngest name was amazing, he picked each of our meals for us based on what we told him he liked and wow was it perfect for all three of us. I know he said he couldn’t be at the table long with us because of the new restrictions but I still feel the time he spent with us he really got to know our family. He also recommended many spots that are a must see in Pittsburgh along with other restaurants in the area. He even taught us some of the language he said is native to Pittsburgh which I found hilarious I forget what he called it! 10/10 will be back just for the experience with him.

First of all Megan is a wonderful server, her skill and attention to detail make every moment of the meal fantastic. Started with the Fiesta cheese fondue, oh my, so delicious and you can request as many extra dippers as you want. The pretzel bread is my favorite, and the granny smith apples, and the veggies, and the tortilla chips....really it's all so good. For entrée we had salmon, shrimp, and ahi tuna (it's Friday during Lent) and the quality of the seafood is superior. Since you are cooking at the table, the "meat" is already cut in small pieces. You can't hide bad quality food that way and it's all the best you've ever had. We were so full from dinner that we didn't have room for the chocolate fondue, maybe next time. We did finish the meal with a chocolate martini that I'm told is a specialty for this location, a creation of the master bartender and one of the restaurant's regular customers. The perfect dessert cocktail to end the evening and it was Megan who suggested it, she really is the best!

I've wanted to go here forever. Atmosphere of restaurant was terrific and had a romantic vibe! Our waitress, can't remember her name, was outstanding and very knowledgeable! Everyone was friendly! Menu was confusing being it was my first visit, but again, waitress was fantastic in explaining every detail! We weren't rushed and did 4 courses. It took about 2.5 hours and we consumed a ton of food! Lol The 1st course we chose our cheese fondue and it was amazing! It came with a huge platter of different breads and cold veggies to dip. It was great! Next were individual, large salads. I got the house and my date got the ceasar, both really good. Followed by the main course, a HUGE, HUGE platter of, shrimp, salmon, filet mignon, sirloin, teriyaki chicken, mushrooms wrapped in dough (outstanding) and regular chicken. Red potatoes and huge mushrooms. We had 2 pots, both broth based. You place your chicken, meat or fish on a skewer and put it in the boiling broth for roughly 3 minutes, that you time on your cell phone. Pull it out and eat it. Everything was REALLY....idk. tasted like you threw a steak in a pot of soup with no seasoning for 3 minutes and then ate it. No A -1. It's very $$$$$ The steak/chicken wasn't juicy, had no flavor. The red potatoes and mushrooms were also completely plain. No butter, nothing, just boiled. The final course was chocolate fondue. It was very yummy. It came with a giant platter with literally everything you could think of to dip, from marshmallows, fruit, brownies, pound cake, rice krispie treats and a bunch of other things. If you go here, don't eat all day before you go. So you can enjoy the full experience. I'm glad I went and saw what it was all about. It's definitely something different to do!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. You get a wonderful four course meal consisting of cheese fondue, salad, meat, and dessert fondue. You will have an incredible time tasting all the beautiful foods that they serve to you. They also have delicious cocktails. The try to make this a very special trip for you if you let them know in advance of your special occasion.

It was an exciting visit for me and my daughter. We have never been there before and we told our waitress that. We ordered and when we asked our waitress she explained it so fast and we were so confused. The table next to us had another waiter ,Tyler, and he was informative from what we heard. Wish we had him for the price we paid. She never came back asking if I wanted refills with my tea. I am not lying but I was surprised with our bill being under $100 for a lunch meal. Enjoyed the food but our waitress ruined the experience. Wish we had Tyler.

Our reservation was for 12:00 pm. We were seated immediately. Our server Kayley was wonderful. We decide to do the Four Course afternoon delight on the Lunch menu. One tip our server Kayley let us know about was awesome. When you are looking at the Lunch menu you have limited choices when it comes to selections of the cheese and chocolate fondue. Kayley let us know that you can select any cheese or chocolate from the full menu. That allowed us to make some delicious choices. The dining experience was amazing. The portions are plenty with the 4 course off the Lunch menu. Will definitely be back.

Hands down the best service you will ever receive. The environment is so relaxing and welcoming. Definitely come with a big appetite. The food is delicious and portion sizes are generous. Bar drinks are phenomenal and be sure to request Patrick. He is the best server we request him every time we visit and he never disappoints!

Our waiter Patrick was wonderful! Our girls, 8 and 5, were along with us and he was so sweet to them. We did the cheese fondue, salad, and chocolate fondue. It was all amazing and so filling. Patrick recommended the cacciatore board and it did not disappoint! We love coming here on special occasions!

I love this place, but it’s so darn expensive if you want the four course meal. That includes the cheese, salad, entree, and chocolate. Sometimes they have specials (reduces prices). That’s when I go. I personally liked the old location better. This place is more modern and open. The old location was much more intimate. I miss that atmosphere in the new one.

Thank you for your honest feedback and choosing to dine with us recently. We certainly enjoy hearing that you "Love" our restaurant. Our new space is a bit more modern and exciting than the previous, but hopefully you can agree that the fondues and service are still exceptional. Thank you again for your dining with us and we hope to see you again soon. Warmest Regards, Chris M

I truly love The Melting Pot! However what makes ours extra special is a waiter called Alex. He makes every single experience as special as the first time you walked into the place. He is kind, courteous, funny, caring, and just a truly fantastic waiter. Yesterday I brought my mom, son, & daughter for their first experience for our birthdays; it was everything I hoped it would be. Alex took time out of his extremely busy shift to make it as special as he possibly could. He is definitely a true bright spot in any day!

This was a great experience for me. I’m glad we went on a weekday early because this place can get crowded quick after 7 PM. The wait staff was awesome the managers were great and the food was good. And because I was designated driver my wife and stepdaughter‘s got to enjoy the drinks lol definitely a fun atmosphere and a very unique place to go.

My husband and I have not been to a restaurant since Covid hit in February 2020. We decided to venture out for the first time to the Melting Pot as it is one of our favorite places. Patrick was our server and made us feel comfortable and at ease. Tables and patrons were appropriately spaced. The food was amazing and we ate way too much. I can’t wait for a return visit.
