What can I say, we were doing the mad dash across PA after an afternoon meeting, and PA is a long state. Looking at reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to try the Pine Grill and were disappointed. The food was just so-so, a lot like mom's (or grand-mothers) but just not quite as good. I had the corn beef,... More

We were directed to this restaurant by the staff at our hotel. It is a family owned/run establishment and, though I know as the saying goes, one man's rags is another man's riches, I would not be inclined to recommend it to anyone. I don't know if the pickings are few in Somerset but this just didn't cut it for... More

We love this place for its Friday night fish fry. The battered cod is outstanding and the portions are enormous, how and fresh. Served with a fresh salad and warm rolls, it makes a great meal. The prices are very reasonable. Service can be spotty when they are busy.

The Pine Grill offers a wide variety of food but it's really their service that gets my vote. They were very busy when we got there but we were seated right away. The wait staff was friendly, efficient. Food was good. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant and that parking lot was full.

The hotel clerk at the Holiday Inn Express recommended this place and after driving around looking for other options, grabbed a bite here and was pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty good and the service was excellent. I had a buffalo chicken wrap that was very satisfying. This looks like the place where the hometown folks eat. Can't go wrong... More

Came at the recommendation of our front desk clerk at the Holiday Inn Express. We ordered the lump crab pasta & the crab cakes. Both were fantastic! We will definitely be back if we come this way again!

Sometimes a place is so good that you take it for granted that everybody knows it. Pine Grill is one such place. They have a variety of new menu's almost weekly. It is a pleasant surprise to find a menu that is not "same old, same old" On top of that , the food is great, the proportions more than... More

The title says it all. Our waitress was friendly and fast. Drink refills were before we asked. The black and blue burger is honestly the best burger I have ever had. The quality of the meat, I think ground sirloin, was wonderful. I got it cooked to medium and it was juicy and tender. The home made ranch dressing is... More

From the moment I walked in the hostess/ manager who appeared to be the owner was not friendly at all, no greeting, then the waitress acted like I was a waste of her time, possibly because I was a party of one. She was very impatient with the ordering as I had questions as I had never eaten there before.... More

You could do worse than Pine Grill on the PA turnpike. Food was solid and the service quick and very friendly. We were happy.
