My brother liked his $3 potato, but he'll eat anything. My cousin ordered the steak burrito and got a chicken burrito. I ordered the three mini-burrito sampler. Maybe appetizers are supposed to be room temperature somewhere, but in my experiences in the US and Mexico burritos are supposed to be served hot. Mine where room temperature. I had the black... Went one time. This is not a mexican restaurant, it is a neighborhood bar that just happens to serve mexican food and wings. Food is not bad. The atmosphere...whoa. When i say neighborhood bar...i mean every drunk in the area must have been in there. Loud obnoxious yelling. Couldnt get out of there fast enough. Place was short staffed but... More

I went with a friend the other night for dinner and we both got 1 pound burritos. I got the buffalo chicken and she got the chicken club. She thought hers was really good, but I was a little disappointed in mine. The buffalo sauce was not very good and was not evenly distributed throughout my burrito. I wish there... More

Neighborhood bar feel with a separate bar/dining area...great for couples or groups of 4's....dining room is not very large but the food is great. Guac and the burrito's are delicious and fresh. Guac is overpriced at $9.95 but it is very good if you want a treat! On-street parking or small lot around the back of the building (make a... More

How does a place that features tacos on their menu run out of taco shells on a Saturday night at 9:00? My drink was more diet coke than bourbon and the bartender texting while we were trying to get our check was the icing on the cake. We will never return here, plenty of other 'Mexican' places we'd rather spend... More

The quote is THEIR's not mine. . . . and they're proud of it. Check out the online menu and you'll see that Mexi-Casa actually brags about this distinction. Let's see, where to begin? Well, let me first confess that we do eat here on occasion. I like the fact that they are nearby (in Dormont, just a short walk... More

I stopped in on a Thursday evening for dinner with some friends. We had people coming in at different times. The wait staff was patient with us, taking our orders at different times and offering suggestions for quickly-prepared items when we started running out of time (we were going to a movie). I had the red wine Sangria, which was... More

Three words -- Chicken Tortilla Soup. Best I've ever eaten -- chockful of chicken, corn, peppers in a creamy, cheesy base with just the right amount of heat. Served with jalepeno cornbread, a bowl is a meal. Big burritos, tacos, chips and salsa -- those you can get anywhere. But the soup is worth the trip. If you like it... More
