The service was good, but that was where it ended. The charcuterie was not worth going back for and the crab sandwich was very disappointing.....where was the crab? This was a lunch and had planned on going back for dinner but thought our money would be best spent elsewhere.

OK, we visited on the Friday of a football weekend. The place was crowded with adults because students cannot afford a fine dining establishment's price scale. That said, the acoustics in this place are terrible. They tried to soften the noise with acoustic mobiles hanging from the ceiling, but it is still very loud and not the most romantic. That... More

We go to Zola every football weekend because its one of the few "adult friendly" places in State College where you can enjoy a glass of Champagne or a cocktail without having a beer spilled on you. ;-) It has been a favorite of ours for many years. That being said, I'm sorry to report that we were very disappointed... More

We were absolutely delighted with our experience at Zola on Sunday 8/21/16. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. She gave us excellent food and wine suggestions. This was very much appreciated because it was hard to choose. We look forward to visiting again soon.

My group of eight friends visited Zola Kitchen and Wine Bar on July 15, 2016 for dinner. My initial impression was of a lack-luster interior and mildly offish attitudes by the hostess and server. The menu was certainly interesting, but the pricing was higher in comparison to other local top-end restaurants. Cost is never a factor if I thoroughly enjoy... More

We decided to have a nice dinner while dropping our student off at PSU - The atmosphere is great - Jazz playing in the bar, very professional service, delicious amuse buse, then came the food... tartare appetizer (pricey but willing to pay $24) came out grayish - not the vibrant red expected from a wagu tartare- buratta salad served on... My wife and I had high hopes for Zola's as we were welcomed by a wonderful wait staff and classy aesthetics. The menu was creative with an emphasis on local and even featured a couple selections of oysters...which was where we went wrong. Being oyster lovers, we ordered a half dozen of each option only to find that we were... More

My daughter and I stumbled across Zola and loved it. I think it was fairly new when we went so there were few things that weren't perfect but the food was amazing!!

First time back to Zola since the restaurant refresh and new owner. More color on the walls, more padding to soften the hard space, and new windows in the front room which used to double as a meat locker in the winter months, kudos for making that investment. Saturday night past was the Central PA Festival of the Arts, always... More

We stopped by for an after dinner drink. We were pleased we were able to sit outside as it was a nice night. My husband and I ordered a bottle of wine to share. The wine selection was nice. My only complaint would be that most of the bottles that we were thinking of trying, were not sold by the... More
