My wife and I were looking for something different in SC and tried Zola. We did not have a reservation on a football weekend and were pleased to get a table. The menu is limited but the selections were interesting. I had the turkey chili first course and it was excellent. I would highly recommend it. I had the salmon... More

Zola was our favorite State College restaurant for years but our last visit was a disappointment. The menu, usually creative and exciting, was lackluster (especially short on red meat options). Wines by the glass, once a strong point, were pedestrian... almost like they stopped trying. All in all, a real letdown.

While the salmon was excellent as well as the calamari, we were shocked that the chicken breast turned out to be a very small leg and thigh. The mushroom reduction sauce was not very flavorful either. The noise level is very high- you almost have to shout to carry on a conversation with the person seated across from you. For... More

We enjoyed an outstanding dinner Saturday night @ Zola's. The staff is friendly, professional & courteous. The appetizers were amazing, the entrees were delicious. The French toast dessert is a must have.

I do love coming here. Menu changes from season to season so it's always a surprise as to what will be there. Food was as good as always. Service excellent. Only downside was that it was very loud. Had a jazz band which while I loved the music. Made it hard to hear. Having said that I would come back... More

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday around 1 pm. Not busy but I had a great hot Mac and Cheese "salad" served with a side of mixed green salad. A glass of a Chilean Chardonnay went great with the lunch. Upscale dining with white linen table cloths and servers who know their trade. An excellent choice for upscale dining... More

While pricey, it is totally worth it. The food and service was phenomenal. Whenever we are in town visiting we make sure to make a reservation ahead of time to ensure we get a good table and seating time.

Zola is located on the western edge of E College Avenue, just around the corner from the Atherton Hotel. I was happy to find that they had a table available on a football weekend. The menu is a little expensive, but I decided to take my girlfriend here for an anniversary dinner. We were seated at a table that didn't... More

Dined here last evening for a graduation celebration. Service very good. Dirty martini great! (; Salad appetizer very good and plentiful. But unfortunately for me I ordered the squash blossom with smoked salmon (asked waitress where the salmon was) Anyway, $10.00 for a couple of bites of food that was just so so. Portion size was absolutely ridiculous. For an... More

We went with our PSU student on alum weekend with the Arts Festival going on, so the town was fairly crowded for the Summer. The service was over the top. Constant interruptions. Literally, each time we took our first sip of water someone came by to top it off. I had to tell 3 different waiters I didn't want more... More
