We were slightly turned off by the back entrance and interior of the building, but if you can get past that, the food was actually very good.

I was super hopeful about this place after reading some of the reviews. But... this an odd mix of straight 50's diner music and a menu where they try to achieve way too much.. We should have stuck to sandwiches but we both had pasta entrees. Both of them lacked flavor, substance and had over cooked noodles. So the ambiance... More

It's the menu that got me interested from the start. Pages of creative, affordable, homemade seafood, chicken steaks. Also had a coupon-buy 1get1 free appetizer. Or $3bucks for dozen steamed clams. I ordered 2st two mentioned above, and it was true love from the start.😊 Kept trying to get S to try a giant prawn. Meanwhile my mouth was lost in... More

Went out to dinner at Penn Werner. Hadn't been there in years. Food was delicious. Waitress was super friendly and drinks were on point. Dining room had been updated. What a pleasant evening!! Everyone in our party was happy. We'll definitely go back again.

We have gone to Penn Werner New Years Eve for past 3 years and we will be there again in 2015. I always get the Surf & Turf, a great filet and lobster tail. Have never had a bad surf & turf there yet - always tender and done the way I like it. My wife gets the filet and... More

We paid a visit in response to an ad in the newspaper and some friends recommending the place, which is a genuine landmark. Yes, it's old and showing its age, but we came for a good meal, not to ingest the ambiance. If true be told, we have a fondness for landmarks, so we were not disappointed. We came for... More

The building is very run down. By the parking lot entry there were mattresses, a lawn mower, and broken down appliances. The rest room toilet seat was broken. The decor is dated and dusty. The place smalls like a dive bar. Right off the bat I was looking for Gordon Ramsey. I had a salad and the lettuce was not... More

great brunch for $7.95, made to order eggs, omelettes, waffles, French toast, and pancakes--creamed chipped beef, sausage links, bacon, fruit salad, muffins, make your own toast, roast potatoes, hash browns, etc on the buffet table. The hotel is old, the place is not fancy, but it is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is better than The Hitching... More

My husband took me here for Valentine's Day. The first thing I noticed was trash on the floor in the foyer. The second was the "hostess?" in pants and t-shirt with stains all down the front. Then came the dingy dining room with the "special" Xeroxed menu with an average price of around $35 per meal. Are you kidding me??... More
