The Stouch Tavern has been there since 1785, and yes, George Washington did sleep there. It is a great place to have a very delicious meal, in an historic and attractive setting. Womelsdorf is a quaint Pennsylvania town with homes and buildings that go back...More

This is an historic stagecoach stop, and George Washington DID sleep there. These is a very small lunch buffet and the items change every day. There is also a small menu.

Try to get here once a month for their lunch buffet. Great value. Service is excellent. We especially enjoy the baked ham buffet. Definitely suggest reservations for that.

Buffet messy and not kept up! Almost like asking a favor to get good service. Bathroom upstairs! Would not recommend to a worst enemy!

We have been dining there for many years. Hadn't been there in 2 years. Tonight's dinner was outstanding. Medallions of Beef melted in my mouth. Table side Bread Pudding has always been my favorite. Tonight it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend dining there.

Steak Diane & House Specialty are always GREAT! Atmosphere is cozy and Early American - Hey, George Washington stayed here! How American can you get? I would say it's my Favorite Restaurant. Always consistent! I would advise anyone who reads this review to visit.
