Great ambiance, Italian chopped salad a must but u gotta like garlic. A little noisy but can be interpreted as private. I had the short ribs and they were scrumptious

This is a special place: the food is delicious and well presented and the service is superb. Our appetizer of roasted beets was beautifully presented and the beets (of different varieties) were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The main meal (roasted fish) was succulent though just a bit underdone in the middle. Overall, we enjoyed our meal a lot!
My wife and I had dinner here in April based on a recommendation from a friend. Even before we had dinner there several locals confirmed how goo a restaurant was. The food did not disappoint. We had several items, but the the things that really stood out were the bone in rib-eye as well the trigger fish. Being from Chicago... More
The Grocery really hit all the marks with cocktails, wine, food and knowledgeable staff. Really enjoyed the overall experience here. Would return and recommend.
As regular visitors to Charleston, we wanted to try something new. The Grocery is that! Open for dinner, only, it is a small boutique restaurant with interesting cocktail and dinner menu. The Dirty Tomato martini was one of the best cocktails I have ever drunk! The menu is very different... You choose dishes for one, two, or a table. Be... More
Great cocktails but disappointed with the happy hour food which was really not very good. My husband had some kind of fish which was literally loaded with bones. The shared the wood-roasted fish (sea bass), which was fabulous. The vegetarian in our group enjoyed the freshness and variety of the offerings. I would recommend a meal here!
Brunch at The Grocery is quite delightful. The names of their offerings may sound very familiar but being breakfast dishes, they are much different from what you would expect. For example my Philly cheese steak has no resemblance whatsoever to a traditional sandwich of that name but was served in a very imaginative way and was quite delicious. The test... More
