The place is very cool and has amazing chocolates! The outdoor seating in the rear courtyard was awesome. The staff was helpful as we were selecting stuff. Don't be afraid of the Bleu Cheese & Dark Chocolate truffles - they are delicious!

Wonderful edible pieces of art. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I've had Christopher Elbow chocolates (Elbow was the sous chef to Wolfgang Puck), and it just doesn't compare. But it was still a yummy diversion.

I bought a variety of deserts as a thank you for a dinner we were invited to - and they were all beyond great! It was definitely the best deserts we had during our stay in Charleston!

Very nice find for coffee and amazing pastries. Check out the patio out back. I highly recomment the macaroons and almond croissants.

We visited this shoppe as part of a road trip of Bakeries across the southeast. It was probably our favorite stop. The hand painted truffles are out of this world! The customer service was perfect. If you are anywhere near Charleston you MUST stop in....More

To me it just didn't live up to the hype. Had a coffee eclair and it was pretty bland. Also had truffles (praline/peanut butter/hazelnut/coffee) but again nothing out of the ordinary. The servers were all wonderful but the product was lacking.

Once we found Christophe's, we made several visits. We enjoyed eating our treats on the cute back patio area. We tried four different tartlets and almond croissants. All the pastries were delicious. Place is quaint and worth a visit.

Description
The story of Christophe Artisan Chocolatier-Patissier is, above all else, a story of love. A story that, at its core, is about one man's love for sharing his creations with others and his dedication to his French origins. Christophe Paume is the rarest of artisans, a third-generation French chocolatier, who grew up in his father's patisserie in Toulouse, France. Alongside his father, he learned to create exquisite French pastry, the highest quality chocolates, succulent gelato, and every type of bread imaginable. After attending the CFA de Muret, Christophe moved to Paris and worked at Entremet de France, refining his hand-painted, one-of-a-kind creations of dark,white, and milk chocolate ganache and chocolate truffles. For the next ten years, he continued to work in the family business and traveled to Montreal to work at Patisserie de Gascogne. He also achieved his Brevet de Maitrise, Master in Pastry. While it was his passion for fine chocolate that brought him to the United States, it was love that kept him here. In 2009, he married Carly, and they moved to Charleston SC and formed Christophe Artisan Chocolatier-Patissier.
