Wanted a cocktail and an appetizer when we walked in to the little restaurant after shopping and walking. Only disappointment was the male "Hostess" who greeted us with his cellphone in hand. Wasn't crowded so we asked to sit outside we were told that was no available and sat us inside the empty bistro. Our waitress made up for his... More

This little cafe on Market Street might be easy to overlook, but give it a try. I stopped in for lunch and had a lovely glass of wine with a yummy salad. I looked over the menu for a future visit and saw lots of possibilities. The staff was attentive and courteous. What else could you ask for?

LB is a quaint restaurant with good lowcountry cooking. My boyfriend loved the chicken and waffles, and I enjoyed my crab cakes a lot. I opted for the Brussels sprouts instead of greens, and the waitress/kitchen was very accommodating. Though not our absolute favorite spot, still a good meal.

This was our splurge dinner while in Charleston, and boy was it worth it! First of all, it wasn't as expensive as most of the other nicer restaurants (main dishes were between $20 - $35). I had the shrimp and grits which came with an amazing tomato compote that made the meal one of the best I've ever had. My... More

First meal in Charleston after driving from Western North Carolina. After two days on vacation and driving over several states this was best meal we've had by far. Cornbread was perfect. Shrimp & Grits was absolutely perfect. My wife had the rib eye and subbed shells and cheese for the brussels sprouts, she loved it. Very attentive service by our... More

The pimento cheese appetizer is worth ordering. I thought the shrimp in the shrimp and grits was remarkable, great grits too!

My mom and I decided to go out for thanksgiving this year. I wanted her to try Lowcountry Bistro. The meal turned out delicious. We had turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, collard greens, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie cheesecake for dessert. It was all so tasty. The chef really did a great job. I think that was the first time... More

My husband and I decided to give Lowcountry Bistro a try for lunch after reading other reviews. We were not disappointed. Our server Hannah was very attentive while not being obtrusive. We ordered the Cuban sandwich which my husband truly enjoyed and a Caesar salad which was huge and not overly dressed. This restaurant also has an ample wine list.... More

Description
SIMPLY LOWCOUNTRY: Lowcountry Bistro focuses only on the freshest ingredients since all of the food we cook is from scratch. On the menu you will find cult favorites like Chicken and Waffles to Lowcountry classics like Shrimp and Grits. We also believe that great food can be affordable. Many of our lunch dishes are under $10. Our goal as a restaurant is to serve high quality, delicious food, at a fair price. We hope you agree after your meal at Lowcountry Bistro. SISTER RESTAURANT TO 82 QUEEN As an icon of the city for over 30 years, we have seen restaurants come and go. We pride ourselves on the fact that we were one of the first original Lowcountry cuisine restaurants to open their doors in the city. We know Lowcountry and after diligently researching Market Street restaurants, have come to the conclusion that what the area needs is a true, authentic Lowcountry restaurant.
