5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

Went here over a year ago, can't stop thinking about it and wishing we had something like it in upstate SC. Went to London recently and had a drink at a place that reminded me of this one. Small, authentic, unpretentious, yummy.

We were referred here by our walking tour guide. My husband enjoyed a large fresh garden salad with interesting tasty white mustard dressing. I had the special of the day which was a bowl of soup ( I picked delicious homemade gazpacho) and a French muffuletta sandwich of salami and Gouda cheese on pesto and French bread. I liked our... My husband and I stopped in yesterday for afternoon snack. Grabbed a cinnamon croissant to go. It was melt in your mouth delicious, best ever, favorite part of my day :)

I returned to 'Fast & French' after a 7-year hiatus. I love the concept of this restaurant, and at one time was a frequent customer--but it has grown stale. I arrived around 7:30 pm on a weekend night, and it was eerily quiet. Gone were the long lines, bohemian crowd, and good vibes. Instead, the room was filled with inebriated... More

If you want good but inexpensive french Bistro food, you cant beat it. We go a couple if times on every visit. Communal tables and get ready to be friendly as that is part of the fun.

Communal seating at a small welcoming place. I had the goat cheese on a croissant with soup one day and a few days later the same with a side salad. All ingredients are fresh and made on premises. You may have to wait a bit but definitely a great local place

I try to eat here every time I come to Charleston. It's busy at lunchtime, as the locals eat here. Cute little old Charleston home that has been turned into a restaurant.

Stopped for a quick lunch--crowded but a warm ambiance of folks enjoying some French fare. We sat at the counter and savored the specials of the day followed by an awesome chocolate mousse cake like the French do best and some coffee (French press). Highly recommend!!!

We stopped in this restaurant after we participated in a 2 hour walking tour. The wait was about 30 minutes, but was worth the wait! It really did remind me of a french cafe in Paris. Simple but delicious food at a price that isn't ridiculous. Drink prices were very reasonable, especially if you purchase a bottle.

This is a small unprententious bustling café brimming with atmosphere, in contrast to the more formal resaurants of Charleston. We only had wine and a snack, but wished we had time to return. It's hard to believe that this cafe is ranked 90th in Tripadvisor given its unique place in the restaurant community.
