My family of four ate dinner here on a Saturday night during our recent vacation to Hilton Head and Charleston. I made the reservation weeks in advance and we were seated right away. I'm not sure if it was because we had kids (13 and...More

I cannot say enough good things about Magnolia's. My party of 10 came here to celebrate my sister's bachelorette party. Our waiter was very friendly and quick. He had our plates and empty glasses cleared quickly, I love a clean table. The food was nothing...More

I've eaten here many times since it opened in 1990. I'm not sure it is quite as good as it was in the past but perhaps it is due to comparisons to other great restaurants in Charleston. Our dinner was really good. Service was great....More

Went back for bouillabaisse it was so delicious. Fresh seasonal salad with fruits and veggies! I saw plenty of people raving about fried chicken.

Visited with a group of 12 for lunch on a Friday, and really enjoyed our meal. The portabella rye Reuben was great, and so was their specialty catch of the day. The place is a little more formal than we expected, but this is a...More

My wife and I enjoyed the fried chicken plate. Very surprisingly, their collard greens were the most enjoyable part of my meal (I suppose because they were unexpectedly and unusually delicious). The waitress was extremely helpful and warm. Great southern cooking!

We have usually made reservations the day before and gotten a time that was favorable. Exceptions could be on holidays or prime weekend evenings when one may want to plan ahead by securing reservations a bit more in advance.

There is no dress code that I know of. I would not go there in shorts and a tee shirt but that is me. You would be comfortable in nice casual. The feel of the restaurant is definitely casual and friendly. Patrons are... More
