This restaurant is located in downtown Charleston just off of Market Street. Nice subdued atmosphere with music on weekends. Good menu for fish and steaks. My brother-in-law and I ordered Tuna steak which comes with a very nice Green Pea Risotto. An additional side comes with it and we ordered Parmeson Fries. Everything was delicious. My wife and sister-in-law ordered... More

Enjoyed the half bottle of champagne with mixers to start. French toast is enough to feed a small village. Chicken sandwich was to die for! Pimento cheese was a nice addition! Would def eat there again. Easy to make a reservation on open table.

We brought some out of town relatives to High Cotton so they could experience our awesome seafood. Except for the service, everything was excellent. Everything from the drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert were top tier. Unfortunately, the service was painfully slow. We are diners and we enjoy a relaxed and leisurely paced dinner. However, when you have to wait 20... More

Our service was incredibly slow for Sunday brunch, and though the food was okay, there was way too much of certain parts that caused dishes to be off balanced. It took us about 15 minutes until our server even got to us for drink orders, then our appetizer took 30+ minutes to get to our table (it wasn't cold, and... More

We did not have a reservation, but we were welcomed warmly and given the last table (even though we were just two, and the table was set for four). Dinner was delicious, service was lovely, wine list is quite good. We will be back.

This was by far our best dining experience in charleston. Ambiance great, staff great, dinner perfection. I had soft shell crabs and strawberry salad. My husband had breaded fried lobster with scallops. Our cocktails were great and wine list was seriously wonderful. I have no words to describe this eating experience. Except to say do not miss this restaurant. Three... More

We had an excellent dinner at High Cotton recently and would recommend it without hesitation. We enjoyed the ambience and the server, Jonathan, was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms as a starter and followed with the night's special fish entree (John Dory with Carolina rice). The restaurant also has a very nice bar with live... More
