Excellent food, ambience and service. I had the LOCAL FISH CEVICHE, LOWCOUNTRY PIRLOU and shrimp | lobster | crab | grouper | carolina gold rice | aioli nero and RED VELVET ELVIS. They are so delicious, better than the carriage tour experience. Two complimentary small...More

We had some world traveled guests in Charleston this week looking for a "culinary experience." I have heard great things about The Drawing Room so with fingers crossed, we made reservations. We entered this beautiful restaurant serenaded by an unbelievably talented guitarist, Nikolai Svishev who...More

Dear siteseer58, Wow! Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review. We are always so happy to hear when we exceed our guests expectations. Chef has created such an exciting menu and the Pirlou is definitely one of our favorites as...More

We had a great dinner at the Drawing Room while we were staying at the Vendue on a cold evening. We had the Seafood Ceviche which was well designed, great tasting but not spectacular. My wife had the Lowcountry Pirlou and I had the Tenderloin...More

This hotel dining room has excellent food and service. It’s very romantic, more like fine dining than the usual hotel fare. Had anextraordinary beef tenderloin

We just had appetizers as we had eaten dinner on the rooftop without realizing how special the Drawing Room is. Ceviche was incredible with a very light touch to fresh grouper and paper thin vegetable. Nothing like the chopped up marinated versions. The selections of...More

We had a lovely meal and tried the local dish “grits”. A must for any first timer in Charleston. The restaurant is warm and cosy even though it is next to the bar and a walkthrough to the Rooftop Bar.

Friendly staff but extremely slow service of the food. Chef had to prepare 2 free appetizers to appease the complaints. Food was good but not worth the high price. There are better restaurants.

This place is really hyped but the food we had was truly mediocre. We had "slow-cooked octopus," which came out tough and chewy. We also had the catch of the day, which amounted to a tiny portion of tasteless fish, served over a pureed vegetable,...More

Did not eat in the drawing room, but the hotel bar is in the Drawing room, so if you didn't want to go to the rooftop bar, the Drawing room was your other option. Service and selection at the bar were excellent. A good place...More

Overall a nice experience. Meal portions were small but plenty for the average meal. When we visited reservations were recommended but not required. During the week we had no problem getting a table. After dinner I recommend taking a walk around to see the art...More

One of Charleston's newest and most highly-acclaimed downtown restaurants. Drawing Room restaurant and bar is located in a thoughtfully restored 1780s Charleston warehouse building and melds effortlessly into the sophisticated, yet chic surroundings. The perfect spot for dinner in historic Charleston or cocktails and shared plates before a night on the town. Locally sourced seafood and produce are the mainstay of the innovative menu that is designed to showcase Chef Forrest Parker's artistic style. Complimentary valet parking.
