Every time we camp at Chester State Park we get takeout from the Cyclone. Never had a meal that was short of excellent. This trip I got the special seafood platter which consisted of clam strips, shrimp, and oysters. All fried of course. It came with slaw, fries, and hush puppies. While it's obvious the seafood is not freshly pulled... More
We were camping at Chester State Park and decided to try one of the many locally owned restaurants. This one was actually picked at random from a GPS search of the area. It was a stroke of good fortune that we landed here. The food was very good and the service was EXCELLENT! Once the identified us as "Out of... More
Sometimes it is difficult to just rate an eatery with a 1 to 5 "dot". My wife and I and our neighbors just had a nice, small town, great priced, friendly service, and well-stocked menu of a lunch and we enjoyed ourselves. Not french cuisine, and not a Charlotte foodie restaurant and surely not pretentious. Good enough for me to... More
This was pretty much your average diner, however, it was a smoke free place (which earned major points w/ my husband and I). But I must say, if you go here, you MUST try the Fried Green Tomato's with their signature sour cream!!! It truly is a taste bud treat! Hands down, they're probably some of the best FGT I've... More
The food was so-so, the wait staff forgot or mixed up the order and the place appeared dirty. You could smell the grease from the fryer in the parking lot-ugh
Nice local restaurant with great service, quaint atmosphere and tasty food. The fried green tomatoes were excellent and the home made sour cream was outstanding. My wife and I had fried chicken dinners which were not bad, While we have had better fried chicken it was OK however the sides made the meal. The collard greens were delicious. Overall a... More
Was going through the town to pick up a car I bought on craigslist and stopped here. They had great reviews and I have to say they are awsome. Breakfast was hot and fast. The waitress was awsome and the food was amazing. The home made fried potatoes are spectacular. If I am through that way agaim I will definitely... More
Ms. B and the rest of the staff took good care of us. My wife had the Hamburger Steak and FF and did something she never does: finished her whole meal. I had the Gyro and BP(warning the BP comes covered in sour cream). A lot to select from on the menu, has a Greek flare to it. All in... More
The only thing that stayed the same and is still good to go for is the sour cream and hamburger steak. I miss the old atmosphere.
